‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Season 1 Finale: How To Get Bonus Content, Plus ‘Talking Dead’ Special

The season 1 finale of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead is nearly upon us. Many people are wondering just who might survive what is billed to be the “deadliest episode” so far, while others are getting ready to sit back and enjoy the show regardless of the outcome. With that in mind, here’s some ways in which you can get even more enjoyment out of Episode 6.

For starters, fans can watch season 1 of Fear The Walking Dead in its entirety on AMC. This marathon starts at 3:15|2:15c and culminates with Episode 6 (entitled “The Good Man”) at 9|8c. As well as this, fans can then tune into the start of The Walking Dead marathon that will lead to the season 6 premiere next Sunday.

According to their website, AMC has partnered up with T-Mobile and by simply downloading the Shazam app, fans will be able to unlock a bonus video during the season 1 finale. AMC released the following details on the bonus content:

“Simply download the Shazam app, tune into Fear The Walking Dead this Sunday at 9/8c on AMC and watch for your cue to listen with the app and you’ll be experiencing fear on a whole new level.”

Look out for Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462 during the season 1 finale. This new miniseries is similar to the webisodes that AMC used to offer before new seasons of The Walking Dead. There are a couple of differences though. Firstly, this new miniseries based in the Walking Dead universe will air in 16 installments of roughly one minute each. The first mini episode will air during the season 1 finale of Fear The Walking Dead and then two more episodes will screen during the season 6 premiere of The Walking Dead on October 11 according to Variety. Each episode after that will appear once during each episode of The Walking Dead as well as online. The second exciting thing about this new spin-off is the fact that one of the survivors of Flight 462 will end up being a new character in season 2 of Fear The Walking Dead. Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV, was also excited about this development.

“We are thrilled to be collaborating with Dave Erickson and David Wiener on another piece of original content. Watching how they’ll bring one of these new characters to the second season of Fear will be really exciting for viewers to follow.”

You can check out who we think might be the new character in this Inquisitr article on Flight 462.

For fans of The Walking Dead, half the fun of watching the show is then tuning in afterwards to the companion series, Talking Dead, where host Chris Hardwick breaks down the episode for fans. The season 1 finale will see Fear The Walking Dead get its first Talking Dead episode at 10|9c. Chris Hardwick wants fans to ask questions about the show, some of which might be asked during the broadcast. So, have you got your questions ready about Fear The Walking Dead? If so, head on over to Taking Dead‘s Facebook page or tweet at Talking Dead using the hashtag #TalkingDead. Special guests on the Fear special of Talking Dead will be Kim Dickens (who plays Madison Clark) and Cliff Curtis (Travis Manawa).

Finally, fans can take the Fear The Walking Dead quiz on AMC’s website to find out just how die-hard a fan they really are. There are five quizzes so far, one for each episode that has aired. It is anticipated the finale quiz for Episode 6 of Fear The Walking Dead will appear after the episode has aired on Sunday.

The season 1 finale of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead premieres on Sunday, October 4, 2015, at 9/8c.
