A bear in a wooded area of Canada was treated to a special dinner this past weekend when it dined on the corpse of a convicted killer.
According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police of British Colombia the bear came across the remains of Rory Nelson Wagner, 53, in a rural southern area of the province.
Officials believe that the bear broke into Wagner’s 1986 Volkswagen Jetta, ate part of his body and then dragged the rest of him away to be eaten at a more comfortable dining location.
Police revealed the following details from the scene of the attack:
“The driver’s window of the vehicle was down and investigators noted numerous muddy animal prints and scratches on the car.”
The mans body was discovered approximately 660 feet away from the vehicle.
Also found at the scene were drug paraphernalia and a bottle of liquor, the coroner is currently conducting an autopsy on what is left of the body and performing toxicology tests.
Wagner and two accomplices were arrested and charged with murder in 1993 after they killed a man who they believed had sexually assaulted a relative. The man they murdered was eventually found innocent of all sexual assault charges.
Rory Wagner was currently out on prison on parole.
The bear which has been caught may be killed in the interest of public safety now that it has eaten a human.
Police will reveal the full findings of the autopsy and toxicology reports once full details have been gathered.
