Suicide In Kim’s Room? Controversy Does Not Slow Down The Kim Kardashian Promotional Machine
It has come to light that back in 1994, while Robert Kardashian (attorney father of the infamous sisters Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian) was acting as defense attorney for friend and client O.J. Simpson, the latter was hiding out in the home of the attorney and the then pre-teen Kardashian sisters.
Frazzled that he was being sought for questioning, a suicidal O.J. Simpson reportedly sat staring at a photograph of his children and late wife Nicole Brown, holding a gun. Robert Kardashian found him in this state and sought to intervene. The lawyer and father of Kim Kardashian had previously recorded Simpson expressing suicidal thoughts.
“Then O.J. said, ‘I’m going to kill myself in this room,’ and I said, ‘You can’t.’ I said, ‘This is my daughter’s bedroom. My little girl Kim sleeps here. I can’t have my little girl in this bedroom, and every time I come in here, I’m going to see your body lying in this. You can’t do that.”
Global-News reports that author Lawrence Schiller repeated this account (given to him by Robert Kardashian) to ABC News’ 20/20.
A suicide in Kim’s room? Australia Network News notes that Kim Kardashian has yet to comment on the matter.
The notion that the ubiquitous Kim Kardashian, a fixture of tabloids and sex tapes alike, and a woman famed for her flesh-flashing antics and colorful dating history (as well as for bringing contouring and strobing into the popular imagination, along with a string of siblings of variable paternity, popularity and ‘booty’ size) rather than her character or heroic inclinations, may have indirectly prevented a suicide years before she had even begun sprouting her famous breasts and buttocks, appears to have captured the popular imagination.
Suicide in Kim’s Room has been a trending topic on various social media sites for a couple of days now and the usual questions from the Kardashian fandom about contour shade and highlight placement have given way to far deeper and darker lines of questioning.

For Kim Kardashian herself, however, it’s business as usual, and it appears the fashion and beauty promotion engine has not lost momentum (let alone halted in the face of the new intrigue). The last several posts on Kim’s Instagram have been the usual fare: a selection of fashion stills, poses with stylists and makeup artists, racy selfies and shots of the ex sex-tape star goofing around with her sisters (one of whom – Kylie Jenner – is becoming equally ubiquitous and bringing the ultra-sculpted makeup look to a new generation of much-younger Kardashian obsessives).
Kim’s latest Instagram shot does feature a Kardashian parent, but it’s not Robert. The picture shows Kim, with uncharacteristically pale locks, alongside a picture of mother Kris Jenner in a similar outfit, strolling with a similar gait, and is captioned “Like mother like daughter… I found tons of these pic and did a post on my app.”

Kim’s recent entry into the app world is being hyped relentlessly, and the move was echoed by sister Kylie, whose website thekyliejenner.com features locked content that can only be accessed by paying a fee.
Another very recent Instagram image features a grid of images of Kim sucking sensually – and rather suggestively – on a Cheeto. A third snap (showing Kim in her underwear on the set of a farm-themed fashion shoot) did prompt one heavy and critical response from a reflective fan.
