Netflix’s ‘Jessica Jones’: Check Out The Latest Teaser Videos And Promo Pictures
Following in the success of the Netflix original series Daredevil, comes the latest Marvel series, Jessica Jones. Today we have a couple of teaser videos and promotional pictures to help viewers better understand just who Jessica Jones really is.
According to the press release Netflix released a while back, Jessica Jones “is a suspenseful, edgy look into the life of Jessica Jones, one of the most popular new Marvel characters of the last decade, as she faces demons from within and without. The drama will premiere with thirteen one-hour episodes.” Flickering Myth also listed the following synopsis for Jessica Jones.
“Working as a private investigator in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen, an ex-Super Hero’s past comes back to haunt her in Marvel’s Jessica Jones.”
The title character of Jessica Jones will be played by Krysten Ritter who fans might also know as Jane Margolis from AMC’s Breaking Bad and as Chloe from ABC’s Don’t Trust The B**ch In Apartment 23. Alongside Krysten Ritter will be fellow actors David Tennant (Doctor Who), Mike Colter (The Good Wife), Rachael Taylor (666 Park Avenue), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix), Eka Darville (Empire), and Erin Moriarty (Red Widow).
Jessica Jones is executive produced by Melissa Rosenberg, Liz Friedman, and Jeph Loeb. Loeb has already had a turn with the Marvel universe, having been involved in both Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Daredevil. He is also Marvel’s Head of Television, so we know that the new Jessica Jones series is in good hands. Jessica Jones is the second Netflix original series so far. Last year saw Daredevil premiere to great reviews from critics and television fans alike. Following up after Jessica Jones will be Luke Cage and Iron Fist. As well as these four series is the anticipated culmination of all the previous series characters in The Defenders.
Coming up is two new trailers for Jessica Jones. The first one introduces someone who we assume is Jessica Jones as she sleeps. She must work strange hours as her alarm clock sounds out with Minnie Riperton’s “Loving You” at 3:00 p.m. It seems Jessica Jones is also not a fan of her aforementioned alarm clock or has had a really late night as she turns the alarm clock off by singlehandedly squeezing it into obliteration.
The second teaser video for Jessica Jones shows — once again someone we assume is Jessica Jones — putting money into a jukebox with a bloodied hand. The song is hesitant to play at first but after some superhuman tapping, Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation” finally starts up and Jessica Jones saunters back across the bar she is in. Scattered across the floor is the evidence of one crazy bar fight. Bodies lay about everywhere in varying degrees of injury. As one woman reaches out for a knife, Jessica Jones uses her foot to kick it across the room and out of reach of the woman lying on the floor. When Jessica Jones gets to the bar, she sinks back a shot to complete the latest teaser video. Perhaps this is the night before the alarm clock teaser video above? Only time will tell.

The Netflix original series, Jessica Jones, will premiere on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 12:01 a.m. (PT). The show will be rated TV MA, so make sure you keep your comic-loving kids away from this one.
