‘The Bachelor’ Spoilers: Ben Higgins Heads To Indiana With His Girls: Who Will Go On Dates In Ben’s Hometown?

Filming for Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor got underway last week, when at limousines full of girls arrived at the Bachelor mansion in L.A. on September 24. Not only do fans want to know who Ben’s girls are, they are curious where the cast and crew will travel to this season.

Will Ben travel to exotic international destinations, or will he stay in the U.S. like his predecessor Chris Soules? ABC has not revealed Ben’s travel itinerary, so fans will have to count on spoilers for the information about the show until it premieres in January.

One location that has leaked out is a place that is very familiar to Bachelor Ben Higgins — he may be filming one or more episodes in his hometown of Warsaw, Indiana. According to the Ink Free Press, the production company for The Bachelor (NZK Productions) submitted a filming proposal at the Kosciusko County Courthouse for two days in late October.

It looks like at least one of the dates in Warsaw is scheduled to be filmed in a courthouse. Perhaps there will be a fake wedding officiated by the justice of the peace, or maybe Ben is going to play judge to a jury of dates.

“We will be setting up a public event on North Buffalo Street and West Center Street on Oct. 24 and 25, and filming a scene at the public event on the evening of Oct. 25. We will also be setting up a scene to be filmed at the courthouse on the night of Oct. 26.”

Filming for the dates in Warsaw take place about one month into filming, which may be close to the time hometown dates are filmed based on previous seasons. Fans who live in the area will likely be tweeting about the event, so check Twitter during those dates to see if you can catch a glimpse of Ben and one or more of his ladies.

Although he currently lives and works in Denver, Colorado, Ben’s parents (David and Amy) still live in the small Indiana town that has a population of approximately 13,600 people. That’s a whole lot bigger than Chris Soules’ hometown of 429, so maybe the girls won’t be quite as freaked out as they were on Prince Farming’s season.

Where Ben and his girls will travel other than Indiana has not been confirmed, but there is speculation that they are filming the first few episodes in Los Angeles. Blogger Reality Steve tweeted on October 1 that Ben was on a group date at the University of Southern California. Earlier in the day, Dorothy Lucey, a former co-host on Good Day LA, shared a photo of Ben on what appears to be a one-on-one date, but the location is unknown.

Hopefully, fans will get to do some virtual traveling this season. After all, it’s the 20th season of the Bachelor — ABC should go all out and film the show in countries they have yet to visit in past seasons. Although it wouldn’t be a bad thing to see Ben in some of the romantic destinations previous Bachelor seasons have traveled to like Prague and Bora Bora.

How many girls Ben will initially meet on the Bachelor premiere is still unknown. The number has varied over the past few seasons — Chris Soules had 30 ladies, Juan Pablo had 27, and 26 were cast for Sean Lowe’s season.

So far, only six contestants have been leaked, including two girls who were on Chris Soules’ season — Becca Tilley and Amber James. Other cast members include twin sisters Emily and Haley Ferguson from Las Vegas, Virginia news anchor Olivia Caridi, and Breanne Rice, a holistic nutritional therapy practitioner from Seattle.

The Bachelor 2016 starring Ben Higgins premieres January 4, 2016, on ABC.
