Shannon Beador Reveals Husband Gave Daughter His Wedding Ring And Said, ‘I Don’t Want It Anymore’

Shannon Beador and her husband, David, exposed their marital issues on the 10th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. During Episode 1, in a shocking moment, Shannon Beador revealed David had engaged in an eight-month affair, which nearly broke up their family. And in the episodes since, they have been going to therapy, and spending quality time together and with their children, in hopes of mending their marriage.

After filming on the 10th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Beador claimed to be in a better place with her husband. Then, weeks later, his mistress’ identity was revealed. However, despite having to deal with the shock of having the world know who the woman was, Shannon Beador and her husband appeared to stay focused on one another, and posed for a “date night” photo just one week later.

Also in the weeks since filming wrapped, Shannon Beador and David filmed a special episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. In an October 1 sneak peek at the episode, shared by Us Weekly, Shannon Beador talked candidly about David’s affair, and their marriage, and revealed a heartbreaking moment she went through during David’s affair.

Below is what Shannon Beador told Cohen.

“I don’t think that people understand the level of hurt. I’m just gonna give an example, okay? When David left me for those two weeks, he would still come and pick the kids up from school. And one day he handed [our daughter] Stella his wedding ring. He said, ‘Give this to your mother, I don’t want it anymore.’ That was a knife in my heart. I thought, ‘We’re never gonna get back together.’ “

According to Us Weekly, Shannon Beador revealed back in June that David “agreeing to talk about everything on the show… is the ultimate commitment as far as trust goes. He is not only accountable to me, but to everyone who watches.”

After learning of her husband’s affair in 2014, Shannon Beador was hesitant to return to The Real Housewives of Orange County. However, after deciding her story could help others, she and David returned to the show.

As the Daily Mail revealed last month, Shannon Beador’s husband’s mistress has been identified as Nicole McMackin, a married mother living in Orange County. According to the report, Shannon Beador’s husband met McMackin, who also remains married to her husband, Reed McMackin, in September, 2013, and the pair remained intimate with one another, according to the report, until April, 2014, when Shannon Beador confronted David about his infidelity.

Throughout the 10th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Beador let fans in on the dark side of her marriage, but in the end, it appears to have been worth it, as they are in a great place today. As fans can see on her social media pages, Shannon Beador and David often enjoy date nights with one another, and have even enjoyed a couple vacations since David came clean about his relationship with McMackin. Most recently, Shannon Beador and David went on vacation as a family prior to the start of their daughter’s school schedules.

As for a return for Season 11, Shannon Beador has not yet announced any plans.

David and Shannon Beador’s one-on-one Watch What Happens Live special airs on Monday, October 5, at 11 p.m. on Bravo. The interview special follows new episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10 and Ladies of London.
