Katherine Jenkins and Andrew Levitas: ‘DWTS’ Star And Husband Welcome Aaliyah Reign — Proud Mother Posts Photos

It’s official! Katherine Jenkins and Andrew Levitas have welcomed their baby girl, Aaliyah Reign, into the world. According to Jenkins’ Instagram account, the Welsh singer and Dancing With the Stars alum broke the news to fans on Wednesday.

“Introducing our daughter Aaliyah Reign Levitas, who came loudly into the world weighing almost 7lbs and surrounded by love. We are absolutely besotted with her & grateful for the beautiful blessing of this happy, healthy, little miracle. Cwtches all round (heart).”

Most celebrities are quick to withhold any pictures of their newborn, but that is not the case for Jenkins and Levitas, sort of. Though as sweet and adorable as Aaliyah Reign seems to be, Jenkins stopped just short of giving the world a full baby reveal.

Levitas was quick to jump online and give an update on how mommy and baby were doing. He let fans know all was well and that he was a proud father of this bouncing baby girl.

“Mummy is recovering well, and Daddy couldn’t be prouder of his two gorgeous princesses.”

So, what are Katherine Jenkins and Andrew Levitas plans now that Aaliyah is a part of their lives? Will she start making the rounds touring? Jenkins did an interview with Hello! According to the interview, her lifestyle may change now that she is a mother.

“I don’t want to be dragging my children around on aeroplanes. I know it works for some people, but it’s just a personal thing for me. I want to be at home, I want to be there. I’d love my kids to have a really happy, secure childhood because it’s so important.”

Katherine Jenkins is a multitalented music star. She sings both mainstream as well as opera. She first hit stardom winning the competition to become the Face of Wales 2000. She signed a six-album deal with Universal Classics and Jazz at the time worth over a million pounds. To date, six of the seven albums she has released have reached No. 1 on the classical charts. She has reportedly sold more than 4 million copies.

Jenkins won the hearts of audiences in America when she performed on the 2012 season of Dancing with the Stars. She and her partner Mark Ballas made it all the way to the finals before having to settle for runner-up to Donald Driver. However, finishing second may have been the best thing for her popularity. It was her grace in defeat that was really endearing to fans that may not have heard of the blond bombshell with the booming voice. She address fans right before the judges had announced the results via her Twitter.

Andrew Levitas is pretty much a jack-of-all-trades. Levitas is a painter, sculptor, filmmaker, writer, producer, photographer, and actor. He has been a mainstay in New York City since he burst on to the scene in 2002 at the age of 25. His work “Photo on Metal Experiment” revolutionized the photography industry. According to his IMDb profile, the process “creates an image far more beautiful, functional, and evocative than previously possible.”

Most will find the way Katherine Jenkins and Andrew Levitas attack parenthood refreshing. Unlike some celebrities, they are not out to have a bidding war with the paparazzi to see who will pay the most for Aaliyah Reign’s baby photos. This may just be one more reason the world has grown to love the 35-year-old singing sensation.
