The Windows 7 Logo – the sunglasses release

win7-1

While Microsoft hasn’t confirmed it officially, the folks that are generally right on the money when it comes to ferreting out stuff like this think it’s for real so behold the next Windows 7 Logo and packaging. I’ll wait while you go and get your sunglasses because I know that flare glare can be a real killer on the eyes.

As well as the logo design we also have the possible typeface and backgrounds as well as a rendition of what the Windows 7 kiosk might look like once it hits the retail chains. These were all sliced out of a possible official Microsoft presentation deck by Stephen Chapman so as usual you can take the info with a grain of salt if you so prefer.

  1. Say what you want about the packaging, Microsoft has finally done something for the public to be proud of.

I tested Win7RC a week ago, and installed it in place of Vista on my main box a few weeks ago. I'm highly impressed, in all realms, with it… so forget the packaging being cliche or bright.

This is the beginning of the reinvention of MS that has many people like myself scared… with Win7 they've proven that they have the time, resources, and sheer willpower to dominate when they feel threatened.

    And it's scary.

  2. I've been running the beta on the desktop from pretty well day one and just finishing up upgrading to the RC and I'm impressed a hell with it. I'm actually really glad to see Microsoft pull this one off and in a way it really makes me wonder whatelse they might have up their sleeve.

  3. I'm glad too, to be honest. I'm very curious what the next few years is going to bring.

    I'm also very scared.

    Can you tell it's a love/hate relationship? ;-)
