WWE News: Dolph Ziggler vs. John Cena Feud In The Works?
With Dolph Ziggler trying to get back together with ex-girlfriend Nikki Bella on the season finale of Total Divas, there is speculation that a Ziggler vs. John Cena feud is in the works, according to LordsOfPain.
Cena, the current WWE United States champion is the real-life boyfriend of Bella. While they have not been an item on WWE television, their relationship has been a focal point of Total Divas on several occasions. With Ziggler trying to rekindle his old flame, the report says it’s possible that Ziggler vs. Cena becomes a storyline on WWE television.
Bella took to Twitter, sounding conflicted in regards to her love life:

On the Total Divas season finale, Ziggler attempted to kiss Bella. With that being how the season concluded, the next season will reportedly pick up with focus on Ziggler’s attempt at a smooch.
For those who are not aware of Ziggler’s relationship with Bella, their relationship was profiled in early January by Ringside News. The exact timeline of their relationship is not precisely known, but the report does have some estimates.
For starters, they began dating as early as 2008 and were believed to be together as late as 2010. The reason for their split is unknown but one former WWE diva chimed in about their relationship.
Maria Kanellis, who was in the WWE from 2005 up-until her release in 2010 says she was close friends with Ziggler. One night when Kanellis, Ziggler, Bella and several other friends were out dancing, Kanellis claims Bella did not like seeing her man dancing with another woman.
“Me and Dolph Ziggler were very close friends. We have been for a long time before the twins ever arrived and one time I was dancing with Dolph at a party we were at, at a Green Iguana place or something. So we were all hanging out, having fun and dancing. I was dancing with him. I was dancing with the girls. I was dancing with the other people that were there. So all of a sudden when I’m dancing with Dolph I get a tap on the shoulder and it’s Nikki Bella going, ‘what are you doing?’ And I said, ‘uh, dancing with my friend?’ And she’s like, ‘oh, he’s with me.’ I said ‘okaaaay, sure.”
As far as Ziggler vs. Cena, both men are no strangers to each other. They have wrestled each other countless of times, including main eventing WWE TLC in 2012. The match, ironically enough was decided when AJ Lee, who at the time was romantically involved with Cena on television turned on the leader of the Cenation — and sided with Ziggler.
So Cena has experienced the heartbreak of Ziggler stealing the show, and his girlfriend.
Currently, Ziggler is involved in a feud with “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev. Once again, a feud that ironically evolved when Lana left Rusev to begin an on-screen relationship with Ziggler. However, that feud is expected to finish soon, as Lana is currently out with a wrist injury.
The Zig-Zag man certainly has a penchant for being involved with the ladies, whether it be on WWE television, Total Divas, or anywhere else. In his real life, Ziggler is reportedly dating NXT diva Dana Brooke (via Daily Wrestling News).
With Cena bringing back his United States open challenge this past week on Monday Night RAW, the opportunity for Ziggler and Cena to start a feud, potentially over Cena’s championship is possible. However, with both wrestlers currently “good guys,” it may be an obstacle in putting this program together.
