Katy Perry Gets Physical With A Fan On Stage During Rock in Rio
Katy Perry proved that she can handle anything when a fan came on stage during Rock in Rio, a music festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and groped Perry in front of the entire crowd and all of the cameras.
As reported by the Huffington Post, Perry invited the Katy Cat to join her during the concert on stage, as Katy is known to do. Fans of Perry, known as Katy Cats, are all very fond of the “Dark Horse” singer. Sunday night though, Katy found out just how fond of her the fan she invited up was.
According to YouTube, the fan’s name was Rayane, though she didn’t quite pronounce it right and Perry ended up referring to her as “Hayayaya”. When Katy brought Rayane up to join her, who was wearing a yellow, smiley-face bikini top, Katy only expected to get some help with her Portuguese. It turns out, however, that the fan was a lot friendlier than Perry had anticipated.
When the overly affectionate fan joined Katy on stage, Katy soon realized that something strange was happening with the girl and that she was acting very odd. As soon as the girl ascended the steps to where Perry was, she embraced the singer with a hug that was a little more handsy than Katy had expected.
“She’s kissing my neck.”
Katy handled the groping fan very well and even announced to the crowd’s delight all of the crazy things Rayane was doing. While the Katy Cat tried to cop a feel on the pop singer, Perry carried on with the show and made jokes about the ordeal. Katy asked the girl where she was from and if she was a Katy Cat. When Rayane answered in what sounded like gibberish and was a little overzealous and way too physical with the “Roar” singer, Perry told the crowd what she thought was going on with the girl.
“I think she’s rolling.”
Perry was referring to the drug known as Molly, which happens to be a controlled substance in Brazil.
After this revelation, Perry asked Rayane to help her with a few words in Portuguese. The singer first asked how to say “hello” in Portuguese, and when Katy repeated the word Rayane told her to the crowd, everyone went wild. Perry also asked the Katy Cat how to say “pizza”, and appropriately to the situation, Katy asked how to say “kisses” in Portuguese.
During this entire affair, Rayane continued to grab Katy around the waist and breathily whisper in the singer’s ear. She also continued to kiss her neck, hands, and really anything else she could reach.
Perry, continuing to be professional and respond to the awkward situation with finesse and comedic relief, decided that it was time to take a selfie. Katy got the fan’s cell phone and began taking selfies with the overly physical Katy Cat. While taking the pictures, Rayane kept kissing Katy on the neck and the singer finally had enough of the shenanigans.
“Okay, okay, okay! Give it up for Hayayaya!”
The fun wasn’t over for the adoring fan, however. The girl gave Katy one last kiss and began to exit the stage, but before she reached the stairs, Perry smacked the girl on the butt. Rayane turned around and went after Perry. She did finally get off of the stage after that.
Katy, who is currently still touring the world on her Prismatic World Tour, took her show to Brazil to perform at the Rock in Rio festival. Perry’s tour has been going since May 2014 and is scheduled to end next month, according to MTV.
