Kylie Jenner Opens Up About Her ‘Addiction’ To Wigs, Reveals Her ‘Wig Guy’

Kylie Jenner is opening up about her addiction to wearing wigs. It’s clear that the reality star loves to change up her look and keep her fans on their toes on a weekly basis. One minute, Kylie is rocking her raven locks, the next she’s wearing an ashy blonde wig.

Kylie Jenner isn’t shy when it comes to experimenting with different colors, as well. She is 18-years-old, after all. She’s been seen wearing a variety of pastel colored wigs throughout most of the year. Before wearing wigs, the Jenner teen was also seen experimenting with different color when she wore her now-signature ombre turquoise tips to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding.

Nowadays, it’s obvious that Kylie doesn’t want to damage her hair by coloring it on a daily basis. So, she sticks to changing up her look by wearing wigs, and sometimes, hair extensions. Kylie revealed on her new website that she quickly learned about the harmful effects of coloring her hair.

“Because I change my hair so much, it’s become damaged. I’ve had to find ways to really try and take care of it and give it a rest. I discovered this amazing wig guy, Tokyo, and together we create wigs. Wigs are just SO much easier because I change my mind so much and this way I’m not damaging my hair.”

Tokyo was also the man behind her mint green wig, which she debuted at the Sugar Factory restaurant opening in New York City during New York Fashion Week. Kylie’s mermaid look was enough to make the media’s heads spin, since most assumed that she changed her color again.

On her blog, Kylie Jenner also revealed that the first time she colored her hair was when she 16 and brought into the spotlight.

“I first dyed my hair when I was 16. I dyed it blue and I never even asked my mom. After that, I just had this addiction to changing my hair. It makes me feel like a new person. I love feeing different and I love leaving the house knowing that nobody has ever seen me this way.”

Another reason why Kylie loves changing up her look so much is that she’s not crazy about her natural hair color. Some of her fans would love to covet the Kardashian and Jenner sister’s raven locks, but not Kylie. She says that she hates having “short, black hair.” Changing her color gives her more life and energy rather than sticking to the same look all the time.

The famous Jenner sister hinted that she will continue to change up her look in the future. She didn’t reveal what’s to come, but she did say that wearing wigs gives her a newfound confidence that she’s never had before.

“Constantly changing up my style makes me feel creative and helps me with my confidence. If any of you are going through something in your life and you want a change, experiment with your hair — it’s so much fun and you’ll feel totally liberated.”

Now Kylie’s fans can change up their hair as well, thanks to her new Kylie Hair Kouture by BELLAMI. The reality star launched her very first hair extension line earlier this year. It’ll be interesting to see if Kylie will continue this beauty venture and launch her own line of wigs. For $250, you receive 10 hair wefts in various sizes. You also receive a fancy box to hold your extensions, and your very own Kylie Kouture hair brush.

The box also includes a separate “tester” weft, which allows you to compare the extension’s color and texture to your own hair without opening the entire packaging. The Kylie Hair Kouture line is available on the Bellami website, as well as the Bellami Beauty Bar in West Hollywood, California. With a wide variety of extension lengths, colors, and styles to choose from, you can swap up your hair like Kylie Jenner.

Unfortunately, the Kylie Hair Kouture collection doesn’t come complete with instructions, but there are tutorial videos if you’re lost on how and where to clip them in.
