‘Devil Wears Prada’ Book Sequel In The Works

Could Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep soon be working on a sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada?” There aren’t any plans yet for a movie sequel, but author Lauren Weisberger has just signed a book deal to write a sequel to her popular debut novel.

“Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns” will pick up 8-years after the original book ends. CNN reports that Simon & Schuster will be publish the new book in April, 2013, 10 years after the original was released.

“Revenge Wears Prada” will pick up with Andrea Sachs as the editor of a bridal magazine. Emily, her former nemesis is now her co-worker and best friend. Andy, who is preparing for her own wedding, runs across the path of her former boss (AKA the Devil) Miranda Priestly, who, I’m sure, will start to wreak havoc once again in Andy’s life.

“The Devil Wears Prada” was at the top of the best seller’s list in 2003 and was the inspiration behind the hit 2006 movie of the same name. Author Lauren Weisberger has written three books since then but this will be the first time that she revisits the characters of her debut novel.

Are you excited for “Revenge Wears Prada?” Do you think it will spawn another movie?
