Paul Walker’s Daughter, Meadow, Sues Porsche Over Father’s Death

Paul Walker’s daughter, Meadow, reportedly filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche over her father’s tragic death.

TMZ reports that the 16-year-old daughter of the late actor blames the high-performance automobile manufacturer for the death of her 40-year-old father.

According to the report, Meadow’s lawyers have targeted the defective stabilization system inside of the Porsche Carrera GT – a vehicle that has a “history of instability and control issues.”

Law enforcement officials confirmed that Roger Rodas reached a speed of 80 to 93 miles per hour, which is why speeding was listed as the cause of the fatal accident.

However, the lawsuit alleges that Rodas only drove between 63 and 71 miles per hour when he lost control of the vehicle. Meadow’s lawyers claim that the high-speed vehicle’s swerving could have been prevented with an operational Stability Management System.

Even though the Porsche Stability Management System is a standard component for other models, the manufacturer reportedly decided to not install it within the Carrera GT.

Jeff Milam, Meadow’s attorney, opened up to TMZ about the wrongful death lawsuit.

“The bottom line is that the Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car. It doesn’t belong on the street. And we shouldn’t be without Paul Walker or his friend, Roger Rodas.”

The defective stability management system and the swerving of the Porsche during Paul Walker’s final minutes of life were not the only topics covered within the lawsuit.

According to TMZ, details about the condition of Paul’s body at the moment of impact were also mentioned. Paul Walker was apparently trapped in the passenger’s seat of the Porsche by his seat belt moments before the car went up in flames.

“[The seat belt] snapped Walker’s torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis… Paul Walker breathed soot into his trachea while the Porsche Carrera GT burned.”

The report claims that the fire did not start until 1 minute and 20 seconds after the moment of impact, leaving Paul Walker helplessly trapped inside of the Porsche long before the fire started.

In an April 2015 interview with People magazine, actor Tyrese Gibson provided an update on Meadow Walker’s overall state of mind.

“She’s really in a great space. She’s really focused on her education and just spending a lot of quality time with her friends. That brings her a lot of joy.”

Meadow Walker has used social media to pay tribute to her late father with quite a few emotionally-stirring photographs of Paul Walker.

Earlier this month, Meadow shared the news of the recently launched Paul Walker Foundation along with an adorable Instagram photo of herself alongside the Furious 7 actor.

“Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions. His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill. I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world. I want to share that part of him with others.”

In his final interview with ET Canada, Paul Walker admitted that he was focused more on spending quality time with his teenage daughter instead of finding a real-life love interest of his own. He stated that “right now there’s only time for her.”
