Azealia Banks Goes On Anti-Gay Tirade On Social Media, Calls LGBTQ Community ‘The Gay KKK’

Azealia Banks is making headlines once again for using Twitter as a platform for a series of anti-gay remarks, Hip Hop Wired is reporting.

Azealia’s troubles started last weekend, when she was on a flight from L.A. to New York. According to TMZ, when the flight landed, a pair of other First Class passengers — an unidentified French couple — didn’t give Azealia the deference she apparently thought she deserved, blocking her quick exit from the plane while they committed the inexcusable crime of removing their own luggage from the overhead bin. What happened next is a matter of debate — Azealia says the Frenchman hit her, witnesses say he merely put his hand up — but eventually the situation devolved into Azealia throwing a major hissy fit, at one point using the words “f*****g f****t” (the second word being a homophobic slur).

You can see Banks’ meltdown in the video below (Warning: Video contains strong language).

The whole thing died down without any charges being pressed, but it now seems that the event has left Azealia with a bad taste in her mouth about the LGBTQ community. Since that fateful flight, she’s taken to both Instagram and Twitter to express her thoughts on gays.

The opening salvo in Azealia’s latest war against the LGBTQ community was a tweet, which has since been deleted, in which she likened the gay community to the KKK.

“LGBT community (GGGG) are like the gay white KKK’s. Get them some pink hoods and unicorns and let them rally down rodeo drive.”

Even though she later deleted her tweet, it had already ignited a firestorm and Azealia, being who she is, doubled down on her remarks.

According to Pink News, Azealia has also taken her anti-gay tirade to Instagram. In the comments threads of her various posts, some commenters have attempted to call Banks out on her homophobic speech. She has not responded well. One fan asked her to “imagine the pain young gay fans feel when they hear the vile things” Azealia says.

Her response, “oh well imagine how I wanna spray a gay man in the face with pepper spray everytime he calls me a b***h a slut or a hoe. Kiss my a**. Goodnight.”

In another exchange, Azealia told a commenter that one day his (or her) hemorrhoids were going to burst and he (or she) was going to bleed to death. In another, she accused a commenter of “trolling for d**k on Grindr” and said he/she would be murdered soon and stuffed under a truck.

This is not the first time Azealia Banks has used social media to express her thoughts about the gay community and ignite controversy. In a memorable Instagram post from February, Banks made liberal use of the word “f****t” while suggesting that double standards allow gay men to use the word “B***h* but straight women cannot use the word “f****t.”

Ironically enough, Azealia Banks claims that it’s impossible for her to be homophobic because she herself is bisexual.
