Bobby Brown Blames Nick Gordon? Singer’s Attorney Releases Statement

Singer Bobby Brown reportedly blames Nick Gordon for the death of his late daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown.

The New Edition member’s attorney, Christopher Brown, issued an official statement to Us Weekly on Monday.

In addition to identifying Nick Gordon as the person “who harmed Bobbi Kristina Brown,” the statement further explained how Bobbi’s former boyfriend will have no choice but to submit a deposition now.

“Mr. Gordon made headlines when he filed his Motion to Dismiss the lawsuit pending in Superior Court that seeks to hold him responsible for 40 Million Dollars in damages. However, the Motion was frivolous and instead of having it heard by the Court, he has chosen to withdraw the Motion, ending that matter so that he could avoid having to give his deposition which was scheduled for the day he withdrew the Motion. Mr. Gordon will now have to give his deposition under oath.”

Christopher Brown continued by stating that Nick Gordon had his chance to come forward with a deposition in the past, but his decision to withdraw his “frivolous” lawsuit prevented that from happening.

However, with the current state of the investigation, Nick Gordon will apparently have no choice but to offer his sworn deposition.

“He could have pressed forward with that lawsuit and told us under oath what he believed happened to Bobbi Kristina, but he chose to go in another direction… I look forward to having the Court hear the evidence in the civil lawsuit and hopefully the criminal action very soon.”

Bobbi Kristina Brown was the only daughter shared by former spouses Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston. She died on July 26 at the age of 22, nearly six months after being found unconscious in her Georgia home’s bathtub.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed last Saturday that the cause of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death is officially known.

However, a judge recently ordered that the cause of her death remained sealed since it is currently being treated as a criminal investigation, according to TMZ.

Bedelia Hargrove, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s conservator, filed a lawsuit against Nick Gordon back in June. Us Weekly reports that Hargrove accused Gordon of physically abusing Bobbi in addition to withdrawing money from her bank account without permission.

Hargrove also claimed that Nick Gordon gave Bobbi Kristina a “toxic cocktail” and accused him of wrongful death.

In an August interview with Us Weekly, Hargrove made it clear that she “will leave no stone unturned in seeking justice for Bobbi Kristina Brown.”

Bobby Brown opened up publicly about Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death for the first time in July.

During an interview on the talk show The Real, according to the Associated Press, the 46-year-old father of six claimed that things would have been different if he was with Bobbi Kristina days before she was found in her bathtub.

“If I could have been there two days before, it wouldn’t have went down like that… We prayed and hoped for six months, you know, for something better to happen. But when God calls you, he calls you.”

Bobby Brown further claimed that his former wife, Whitney Houston, may have played a role in getting their daughter to join her “in heaven.” Rolling Stone reports that Bobby guessed Whitney may not have been “comfortable by herself.”
