Twitter hacked – Again!

Not only is it having problems with their search but is seems that Twitter has once again been hacked if the above screen capture of Thomas Hawk’s Twitter post on Friendfeed is any example. this seems to happen on a regular basis which makes one wonder just how sound is the whole Twitter infrastructure?

    I'd wager that security problems are probably more likely with third party apps where people put in their username and password and hey then get stored in cleartext. twtter needs to move to friendfeed's system of having a separate key for api access.

    I agree with you on that. the idea of a clear text password is just stupid.
