Donald Trump Claims Reporters Are The Worst People He’s Ever Met

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, well-known for his outspoken manners, put down journalists during an interview with 60 Minutes on Sunday.

New York Daily News reports that Trump, 69, blasted the media, stating that journalists are among the worst people he’s ever met.

“You know, some of the media is among the worst people I’ve ever met. And I mean a pretty good percentage is really a terrible group of people. they write lies, they write false stories. They know they’re false. It makes no difference. And frankly I don’t call it thin skinned, I’m angry.”

The real estate mogul did admit that some journalism is beneficial, indicating that he respects a story that’s true, even if the stories are negative.

“I could take it if it’s fair. If people say things that are false which happens a lot with me, if people say things that are false I will fight, like, harder than anybody.”

Meanwhile, Trump, the front-runner in the Republican GOP polls, faces fierce competition as Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson continues to move up in the polls. The New York Post reports that Carson is only one point behind Trump in the latest Republican voters’ poll.

Carson, understandably, is ecstatic about the current polls. He recently told Martha Raddatz of ABC that he thinks Americans aren’t just listening to speeches, but starting to assess things in the nation by themselves.

“And I think it says a lot for the American people, because it means that they’re not necessarily listening to the pundits, that they’re starting to think for themselves. And that, I think, is what it’s going to take to get us off of this inexorable track toward destruction that we’re on.”

Surprisingly, Trump, known for blasting Carson, left him alone this weekend, and instead, attacked other presidential candidates via Twitter, including Carly Fiorina and Marco Rubio.

Trump appears on 60 Minutes this Sunday on CBS, at 7:30 p.m. EST. Although Donald Trump has a distaste for most journalists, he feels that 60 Minutes treated him fairly.

“If you did a bad story on me for 60 Minutes, if it were a fair story I wouldn’t be thin-skinned at all.”
