‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7: New Spoilers Tease Stefan and Caroline’s ‘Future’
The Vampire Diaries fans have approximately 10 days left before the series premieres Season 7 on The CW. Fans are excited about the new twists and turns ahead on the series, but a lot of fans have latched onto Stefan and Caroline’s romance as a topic of focus.
At the end of The Vampire Diaries Season 6, Caroline asked Stefan for time to grieve her mother and get her head together. Stefan is willing to wait for her as long as it takes, but that only means fans can expect some awkward moments when Season 7 begins.
Spoilers for the series have teased two separate time lines – a “present day” timeline and a “future” timeline. One fan asked TV Line about the future timeline. Will fans see Stefan and Caroline as a couple in the further timeline? TV Line offered this teaser.
“Things are quite dire in the Oct. 8 premiere’s flash forwards, so romance isn’t really the priority. That said, Caroline and Stefan share plenty of screentime — and a few awkward, loaded silences — back in present day Mystic Falls.”
It may take some time for Stefan and Caroline to finally hook-up on the series. Fans have been waiting for the pair to form a relationship since Season 2. Fans saw the spark between Stefan and Caroline way back then. It was during her transition into a vampire that Stefan stayed by her side and helped her through it.

There is no way to know how long Caroline will make Stefan make before she gives in and allows her heart to let him in. Paul Wesley did share some spoilers about Caroline and Stefan with TV Line recently.
“Caroline wants to be with Stefan, but she’s also trying to do the right thing by herself, taking the time to mourn her mother’s death so she can enter into this relationship with a clean state and a free mind. The heart wants what it wants when it wants it, so we’ll see moments where’s she’s struggling, wanting to say something but not knowing what to say.”
Stefan and Caroline’s relationship is not all The Vampire Diaries Season 7 is about though. Mystic Falls’ destruction, Stefan and Damon’s mother’s new family, and the characters dealing with the exits of last season will all play a role in the upcoming season. Stefan and Damon’s mother will not be easy for the two Salvatore brothers to deal with, and fans will see their father once again in flashbacks.

Damon is already having a difficult time with Elena being in her deep sleep. Alaric and Damon will definitely drown their sorrows in a lot of alcohol, but TV Line confirmed that Bonnie will play chaperone for the pair. The news outlet even teased that Damon will call Bonnie his best friend.
Alaric might not appreciate that much, but he might be too drunk to care. He is mourning Jo’s death after all.
The Vampire Diaries Season 7 is very much a revamp of the series. For the last six seasons, the focus has been on the love triangle between Stefan, Elena, and Damon. Even after it was clear that Elena wanted Damon, the topic still came up. That is over now. The push is for Stefan and Caroline while Damon waits for Bonnie to die.
It really is not known how much longer this series can continue. The departure of Nina Dobrev was a huge event for the series. Fans will need to tune in and watch the drama unfold. Can The Vampire Diaries continue on?
The series will return to The CW on October 8.
