Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Autopsy Results A Secret For Now — DA, Police Contacted

The long and painful saga of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s tragic demise is continuing. Medical examiners have completed her autopsy and declared the 22-year-old’s cause of death, but they are keeping the results to themselves.

The reasons behind this secrecy isn’t clear. However, there is this detail, according to People: the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office and Roswell Police Department have been notified since the completion of Bobbi Kristina’s autopsy.

Brown, the only daughter of singer Whitney Houston and Bobbi Brown, died on July 26, months after she was found unconscious in a bathtub.

The report has been sealed by a court order, which bars the Fulton County Medical Examiner from releasing details, the office said in a statement.

“(The office) has classified the cause and manner of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death based on information available as of September 25, 2015. However, a Fulton County Superior Court Order dated September 25, 2015 has been received Sealing the Autopsy Report and ordering the Medical Examiner to not release any further information to the public.”

Entertainment Tonight has been in contact with the source close to the investigation, who said the document has been sealed to allow law enforcement to examine the findings. Authorities are continuing to investigate her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, who has long been a suspect.

The young woman was found unconscious in a bathtub on January 31. She was immediately put on a ventilator in the hospital, then put in a medically induced coma. Two months later, she went to a rehab center, where she stayed until June. She died at a hospice center in July.

A lawsuit against Gordon followed. Her conservators have accused him of wrongful death.

Though he hasn’t been charged criminally, the suit — filed in early August — accused him of giving Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail after night of cocaine and alcohol binging. This cocktail allegedly rendered her unconscious, and he then proceeded to force her face under cold water in the bath tub.

The lawsuit contends this alleged attack caused brain damage, though whether or not the autopsy report will corroborate that is as yet unclear to the public.

Gordon has also been accused of assaulting his girlfriend on numerous occasions, and of stealing money from her. He has since hired a powerful legal team to prep his defense — they have already filed to dismiss the suit.

“Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it’s shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly. Nick has engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most.”
