Steven Tyler’s New $1.1 Million Supercar Is The World’s Fastest Convertible [Video]

Steven Tyler is now the proud owner of the world’s fastest convertible. The Aerosmith frontman and “American Idol” judge just took delivery of a $1.1 million supercar.

According to Yahoo Autos, Tyler’s, Hennessey Venom GT Spyder will hit 200 mph in under 16 seconds. In comparison, it takes the Bugatti Veyron about 24 seconds to hit that speed.

John Hennessey said:

“Steven came to us last year and asked if we could build his Venom GT as a roadster. We had to make a few structural changes to our integrated rollcage in order to be able to fit the removable top. This increased the weight of our vehicle by about 30 lbs to a curb weight of 2743 lbs (1244 kilograms). We decided to increase the Venom GTs power to 1244 bhp to maintain our 1 horsepower per 1 kilogram power to weight ratio.”

Tyler’s $1.1 million supercar will be the only one of its kind produced this year. Four other Venom GTs will be built this year but Tyler is the only person to ask for a convertible. And there’s good reason for it. Yahoo dubbed the Venom GT (with a roof) as “the best way to die.”

Here’s a video of Tyler’s new supercar.

What do you think of Steven Tyler’s $1.1 million supercar?

Tyler isn’t the only famous musician riding around in a new set of wheels these days. Eric Clapton recently unveiled his Custom SP12 EC Ferrari. The car, which was custom built for Clapton, has an estimated value of $4.75 million.
