Batman Day: Pay Honor Today To The Caped Crusader For #BatmanDay

Today is Batman Day. In commemoration, you should dress up in a dark costume and fight crime. No, you really shouldn’t do that, but it is a day to pay honor to the one and only Caped Crusader. Well, the one and only Caped Crusader who has been portrayed by numerous actors and in the comic books for many many years.

As revealed by DC Comics, Batman Day has been brought back by popular demand, and it falls on Sept. 26. It is the day to celebrate The Dark Knight himself and all that has come about due to his crime-fighting antics.

DC Comics is asking everyone to get interactive on social media by using the hashtag #BatmanDay to let the world know how you’re celebrating.

Those who head out to select comic stores, bookstores, and libraries on Batman Day will have the opportunity for awesome meet-and-greets with iconic DC Entertainment talents including legendary artist and DCE Co-Publisher Jim Lee, Grant Morrison, Scott Snyder, David Finch, Brian Azzarello, Cameron Stewart, Pat Gleason, Dustin Nguyen, Tim Seeley, Tom King, Dan Jurgens, Jeff Parker, Matthew Manning, and Daniel Wallace and many more.

The DC Comics website offers several freebies for the fans. Visit to download a number of Batman Day supplies such as the “Batman Day Kit” or a “Batman Day Selling Guide.”

Check your local area bookstores, libraries, and comic book retailers to see what they are doing to celebrate Batman Day. In Austin, Texas there are a number of things happening according to Do512 Family. The events and activities look like non-dangerous, crime-fighting fun.

There will Batman movie marathons, board game demos, coloring contests for kids, and much more.

For those who can’t find a place nearby to celebrate Batman Day, you can always do something festive from the comfort of your own home. Hold your own Batman movie marathon or try to find old episodes of the original Batman television show to watch.

Over at the DC Entertainment store, there is a huge sale happening on just about all “Batman” eBooks with up to 80 percent off of everything. The one-day sale ends at 11 p.m. EST for select stores, in local time and online. Being able to download “Batman: The Killing Joke” for just $3.99 is an awesome bargain.

Batman Day comes but just once a year, and it’s likely going to be something that returns annually since it has become so popular. Do whatever you can to celebrate the Caped Crusader and don’t forget to use the #BatmanDay hashtag.
