Jennifer Aniston: On Being Pregnant For A Decade And Newly-Wed Name Changes

Jennifer Aniston is one Hollywood celebrity who seems to always be a topic of interest within the latest news sites and headlines based on the world of entertainment. She has constantly made covers of tabloids for unverified rumors based on possible break-ups from now-husband Justin Theroux and for possible pregnancies and even rumored fertility woes. Aniston has been noted by numerous publications as being the celebrity that is most consistently focused on by tabloids for these specific falsehoods and claims. Based on the history of stories published about potential pregnancies, Jen has been with child for an entire decade.

Elle Magazine cleverly relays this unbelievable and ridiculous statistic.

“Jennifer Aniston has been pregnant for years.?For almost a decade, tabloids and celeb weeklies have been printing covers with headlines trumpeting the news of her impending motherhood.”

The publication draws attention to the fact that even this week there has been a cover story involving an Aniston-Theroux rumored pregnancy. It all begs the question as to why Jen is such a target for such claims and rumors. Additionally, it causes fans to wonder what the star, herself, actually feels about being the rumor subject for such an extended period of time, especially seeing as its focus is such a personal subject matter.

Elle shares the words of psychotherapist Jeanne Safer, Ph,D, who offers a possible reason for the obsession with Jen and her apparent road to motherhood.

“I think it has to do with her image, the fantasy of her as the perfect girl next door. Therefore, she’s a very traditional feminine role model. She’s nice, she’s warm, she’s healthy, she’s natural… ?People have this illusion that they know celebrities anyway and, of course, she’s just ‘Jennifer’— she is our notion of the kind of woman you’d like to be or you’d like your son to marry.”

In regards to what Jennifer feels when motherhood queries are hurled at her, there have been numerous interviews with the beauty recently, which indicate that the Friends star is not a fan of the line of questioning. E! Online discovered this earlier this year.

?”Listen, that’s a topic that’s so exhausted. I get nervous around that, just because it’s very personal. Who knows if it’s going to happen? It’s been a want. We’re doing our best.”

In addition, Jen was the cover girl for Allure Magazine lately and also shared with the publication about her irritation at being constantly slammed for not having children yet.

“This continually is said about me: that I was so career-driven and focused on myself; that I don’t want to be a mother, and how selfish that is. Even saying it gets me a little tight in my throat.”

As Aniston has made clear more often than not, she and Justin are hopeful and would like to have a family. For now, the couple are enjoying their newly-married life and the major decision is as to whether Aniston will be changing her name. Jen’s hubby, Justin, jokingly responded to Extra’s question on the subject.

“I made her change both names, so she’s now Justin Theroux.”

So we will take that as a “no.”
