LeBron James’ Oculus Rift, ‘Facebook 360-Degrees’ Yoga, Gym Workout – 1 Million Views Ensue [Video]

LeBron James — really, can anyone hear that name in his or her head without thinking of the viral Vine video whereby the little boy repeats LeBron in his unique drawl? — is making news. Although James hasn’t yet shown up in a full episode of Survivor’s Remorse, with LeBron only being shown in the preview video of Season 2 — LeBron is giving his fans a big peek at his workout regimen.

James says he works his butt off as the Facebook 360 video begins, with LeBron complaining that it’s too early for a workout to begin. The video has grown to more than 1 million views on Facebook, with LeBron’s voice opening the video as a yoga teacher can be seen laying out yoga mats as James complains that it’s the weekend and he’d rather be sleeping, but that LeBron is choosing to “put in work” instead.

On the LeBron James Facebook page, the basketball and movie star explains from whence his talent derives and just how hard he works to hone his skills on a daily basis.

“I was born with God given talent, but I PROMISE you that when the bright lights go down I am grinding it out and working my tail off to get better. I will never cheat this game… “

I never take the game for granted, says “Bron Bron” — the Akron, Ohio, hometown hero who promises his fans that he will never cheat the game of basketball, and that all the prior accolades don’t matter when it’s time to step on the court anew.

“Putting in this work right now is all that matters. Getting back to the basics, back to the fundamentals.”

Mike Mancia, LeBron’s trainer, speaks about James entering his 13th season in the two-minute, 38-second long video that’s been shared more than 4,500 times on Facebook since it was uploaded on September 23. In one scene, LeBron can be seen stretching out his long muscles with an instructor who has him bending at the waist down to touch his toes. In another, LeBron wears no shoes as he performs single jumps lying supine on a leg press machine. Plenty of hanging boxing bags are seen in the background.

“Abs are on fire!”

The body is the temple, LeBron says, perhaps harkening to some of the lessons heard in his youth in churches such as The House of the Lord and “THE WORD” Church in Akron that were his former stomping grounds.

“If you don’t listen to the body, it will fail you.”

LeBron wants to be No. 1 at the end of the year. By November, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, more of these lovely videos that are 360-degrees of LeBron and coupled with the Oculus Rift technology will be viewable.

“Coming soon to Facebook 360 and Oculus.”
