WWE News: Dana White Comments On Ronda Rousey Possibly Appearing At ‘WrestleMania 32’

WWE has been wanting to get UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey in the ring for quite some time now, and when she appeared in what was one of the most talked about segments with The Rock, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon at this year’s WrestleMania 31, many believed that her involvement was to lead to a mixed tag-team match at next spring’s WrestleMania 32.

It’s now become apparent that Ronda Rousey will not be appearing at WrestleMania 32 due to a scheduling conflict. On top of that, Ronda Rousey’s boss, UFC president Dana White, isn’t a fan of Rousey wrestling for WWE while she’s still an active fighter in the UFC.

White recently commented on Rousey working with WWE in the future, and he doesn’t understand why people want to see his biggest star step into a WWE ring, asking “why would you want to see her wrestle when you can see her fight?”

“The thing [Rousey] did with WWE was cool. She did a great job, I thought it was awesome, but believe me when I tell you she’s got a lot of s**t to do. She’s pretty busy. Why would you want to see her wrestle when you can see her fight?”

At a recent Q&A session in Australia, where Rousey will be fighting next, the UFC women’s bantamweight champ revealed that she would love to wrestle at WrestleMania 32, but she’ll be busy filming a movie when the event is taking place. However, Rousey did leave the door open for an appearance at the event, saying that if she is planning on wrestling at WrestleMania 32, she’s not going to spoil the surprise ahead of time.

“I would love to but I’m going to be in Jakarta filming my movie [Mile 22]. If I was really going to be there, would you want to know or would you want to be surprised? I think a real wrestling fan would want to be surprised.”

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE has changed their WrestleMania plans, which could be in response to them finally realizing that they’re not going to be able to have Ronda Rousey wrestle on the show. Now, it appears that The Rock, who was going to be Rousey’s tag-team partner, will end up taking on Brock Lesnar, and Triple H, who was going to be one of The Rock and Rousey’s opponents, will take on Seth Rollins.
