Want To Go To Korea? DramaFever Is Giving Lucky Members A Trip To Seoul For Watching K-Movies

Over the last 15 years, Korean entertainment has sky-rocketed in popularity around the world. K-pop groups such as Big Bang, Super Junior, and 2NE1 are becoming strong competitors for musicals acts for the two biggest musical industries in the world, the United States and Europe. K-dramas, K-movies, and K-variety shows are becoming a viable form of entertainment outside of a country’s domestic television programming. This is definitely proven by the popularity increase of streaming sites specializing in Korean shows.

One such streaming site, DramaFever, understands just how big the fandom for Korean entertainment is. Over the last six years of bringing K-dramas, K-movies, and K-variety shows to the rest of the world, they have built a community, and they’ve learned from them. Ergo, they know one of the biggest dreams most fans of Korean entertainment have is to actually visit Korea. For some lucky members and their plus one, DramaFever will provide two round-trip tickets so they can enjoy the Korean experience. The best part is that all one has to do to enter into the contest is to generally watch K-movies.

The contest DramaFever is holding is called the “Power of Three.” For the next three weeks, they will premier two movies per week in a collection. All a member has to do is watch three of those movies and answer the respective trivia questions at the end correctly. For every three questions answered correctly, a member gets one chance to win the the trip to Korea. They can double their chances if they watch all six movies and answer all six trivia questions correctly.

It should be noted the two K-movies for the first week are already up. The first one is Miss Granny starring Na Moon Lee and Shim Eun Kyung. The plot centers on Oh Mal Soon, a 74-year-old widow who recently realizes she’s a burden to her family. Through some mysterious events, she regains her youth and appearance of her 20-year-old self which results in hilarity as she tries to lead a new life. The second is Tazza 2, starring T.O.P. (from Big Bang) and Shin Se Kyung. As for the plot, Ham Dae Gil is a prodigy in poker. However, he is forced to gamble for his life after he’s framed as the scapegoat for a deal gone wrong.

The third and fourth K-movies will be revealed on Saturday, September 26, 2015 followed by the fifth and sixth K-movies on Saturday, October 3, 2015. DramaFever members will have until Wednesday, October 23, 2015 to enter into trivia drawing. Three potential grand prize winners will receive a prize package consisting of two round-trip coach class tickets for them and their plus one to Seoul, South Korea and $300 spending prize money. No details were given on how long winners will stay in Seoul, but it does take about 15 hours to fly from California to South Korea.

For those who find Seoul a dream vacation, it is suggested they start watching the K-movies listed by DramaFever. And for those who are wondering, it is absolutely free to become a member for the steaming website.
