Francesca Eastwood Receives Death Threats After Setting $100,000 Bag On Fire

Francesca Eastwood has money, and purses, to burn. The daughter of Clint Eastwood and newly minted reality star on “Mrs. Eastwood & Company” was the subject of a controversial photo-shoot with photographer Tyler Shields last week where she destroyed a $100,000 Red Crocodile Birkin bag.

Eastwood started receiving death threats after the photo-shoot went online.

TMZ collected a few of the most hateful postings from Twitter and Facebook:

  • Some of us actually have to work and live check 2 check, spoiled rotten bitch to burn 100k bag.
  • You’re a stupid whore. How f***ing dumb can you be.
  • You should kill urself, ungrateful bitch – wasted money when families can’t eat.

According to TMZ, Eastwood knew that the photo would stir up some controversy. Eastwood apparently thought that burning the $100,000 bag would get people to start talking about her, which they did, she just didn’t expect so much hatred to come her way. According to sources close to Francesca, the new reality star says that “people just don’t understand art.”

To which one Twitter user responded:

“Burning a $100K purse is not art. It’s self-indulgent, wasteful, lazy, showing off.”

On Tyler Shields website, the photos are preceded by a short paragraph explaining the shoot:

“For the people who don’t know a Birkin is the most sought after bag in the entire world. There is a waiting list and some of them can run upwards of $100,000. This is the red Crocodile Birkin VS. the red $200 chainsaw and 4 dollars of gasoline!”

And the next sentence pretty much destroys Francesca’s it’s just art statement.

“Make sure you check out MRS. EASTWOOD and COMPANY this SUNDAY and MONDAY NIGHT 10PM on E! Watch this bag get destroyed IT IS INSANE!

What do you think of the photo-shoot? Is this art? Or just controversy?
