Dancing With The Stars: From Bindi Irwin & Nick Carter To Gary Busey & Paula Deen, Dazzlers & Disasters

Dancing with the Stars each season seems to showcase disasters and dazzlers. Who bombed and who blazed a graceful trail to the top of the dancing scoreboard? Bright-eyed Bindi Irwin stood out as a winner, while grinning Gary Busey seemed to have a good time even if he didn’t get a high score, reported People.

But at the end of the day, it wasn’t Gary who had to shuffle off the Dancing With The Stars floor. Although he and Anna Trebunskaya landed in the bottom of the pack, it was Chaka Khan, who was partnered with Keo Motsepe, who had to leave the show.

“I enjoyed it. I am so happy to have met everybody. I’ve made great friends here,” said Chaka.

In contrast, jovial Busey expressed his determination to survive.

“I’m here to stay,” he declared. “I like to walk on the edge – it’s a hobby of mine.”

But it was Bindi who charmed as she revealed to her partner Derek Hough that she adores heavy metal music in memory of her deceased dad.

“That’s what my mom and dad especially, would listen to,” she recalled. “I was so little and so happy.”

Consequently, the song to which they moved on Dancing With The Stars reflected one of Steve Irwin’s favorites: AC/DC’s “You Shook Me.”

With a high score of 25 out of 30, Bindi made her mother Terri misty-eyed during her daughter’s discussion of her father.

“I remember when I was really little, dad would sing that song,” revealed Bindi. “At the very end it hit me, because of the meaning behind the song. It was so great because that they so many memories attached.”

Nick Carter also charmed the Dancing With The Stars audience because he praised a teacher from his past, Sandy Karl.

“[My hometown was a place with] dysfunction and families who had problems and some bad kids on the street,” said Nick.

That teacher described him as one of her most beloved pupils, and Carter responded by dedicating a number to her.

“At the end of the day, without her, I wouldn’t have been a Backstreet Boy and I would be in the entertainment business at all,” revealed Carter. “I’ve never had the opportunity to give her any recognition up to this point, and I had a successful and long career, so it is very satisfying and made it all worth it for me.”

But with those who charm, there are those who raise contention. When Paula Deen was chosen as a Dancing With The Stars contestant, many questioned her selection, pointed out Eater.

Deen was famed on the Food Network prior to having advertisers run when she was accused of racism and prejudice.

Now, can Dancing With The Stars whirl her into a comeback? Paula was partnered with Louis van Amstel, and she issued a warning.

“It’s been 50 years since I’ve done any organized steps,” cautioned Deen.

But Paula subsequently was shocked when her appearance on the first show resulted in five points out of 10. And she earned moans from the viewers with her subsequent comment.

“I was scared! I had on white underwear when I started, but they probably ain’t white no more! That’s all I got to say,” declared Chef Deen.

The most recent Dancing With The Stars, however, showed Paula’s improvement, reported ABC News.

Carrie Ann Inaba praised Deen.

“Paula, you are sexy,” she declared.

However, Deen still scored just 18 points.
