Michael B. Jordan Talks Kendall Jenner Dating Rumors, Was ‘Weirded’ Out By Backlash

Earlier this summer, Michael B. Jordan and Kendall Jenner found themselves romantically linked to each other simply because they exited a building at the same time.

The incident unfolded at the Met Gala back in May, but sources were quick to deny that the 28-year-old actor and the 19-year-old reality television star and model were an item.

However, Jordan found himself being attacked for a variety of reasons for merely being linked with Kendall Jenner. But the Fantastic Four actor admitted to GQ that he understood the reaction — however, he was still weirded out by it.

“It’s the world we live in,” Jordan explained. “They see white and black. I don’t. Kendall’s a friend of mine, you know. I don’t know her, like, that well, but I know her enough. People’s perspective on that is what it is. I don’t f******* know. I don’t live my life to make other people happy.”

Jordan was rather disgusted with people who disapproved of the idea of him dating Kendall Jenner. Jordan continued, “It’s so weird, though, right? A lot of black fans were feeling like, ‘Oh, my God, he should have been with a black woman,’ and that whole thing. I get it, but on the other hand it’s, like, relax. You know — it’s 2015. It’s okay!”

Jordan added, “People can like one another, not necessarily from the same history or culture or whatever the f*** it is. It’s just the new world, you know what I mean?”

Meanwhile, Michael B. Jordan, who originally rose to prominence thanks to his role in The Wire before then stunning in Fruitvale Station, which led to him starring in Chronicle, That Awkward Moment, and The Fantastic Four, also revealed that he really isn’t looking to be in a relationship. In fact, he’s primarily focused on his career.

“I try to be focused,” he explained. “I told myself at a young age that I would sacrifice all my twenties to my work. I’m 28. I’ve got a year and a half left.”

But his current stance doesn’t mean that he doesn’t know how to be in a relationship with a woman, it’s just that he wants to be able to provide and care for any potential beau — something that he can’t promise at the moment.

“I understand what females want and need, you know,” Jordan insisted. “I’m good at that. I don’t know if I’m the guy to give it to them right now. I’m emotionally unavailable. Until I find something that’s so undeniable that I can’t help myself. A lot of females don’t agree with this agenda.”
