Brooks Ayers Discusses Cancer On Twitter, Vicki Gunvalson Continues To Offer Support After Split

Brooks Ayers and Vicki Gunvalson may have announced their breakup over one month ago, but that hasn’t stopped the longtime Real Housewives of Orange County star from supporting her former boyfriend online. In one of her latest tweets, shared on September 22, Gunvalson shared a link to Brooks Ayers’ interview with Entertainment Tonight, during which he insisted the “fake cancer” story line was nothing more than a ratings ploy.

Brooks Ayers also shared a tweet with fans on September 22, denying his stage 3 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis was fake.

Throughout Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Brooks Ayers has been the topic of conversation due to what his co-stars feel is a questionable cancer diagnosis and treatment plan. However, all the while, both Brooks Ayers and his former girlfriend, Gunvalson, have insisted their story is not manufactured. Instead, Brooks Ayers claims, his co-stars have made out-of-line accusations without having all of the facts. During his interview with Entertainment Tonight, Brooks Ayers accused his co-stars, including Tamra Barney and Meghan King Edmonds, of using him to remain a relevant part of the show. Meanwhile, Brooks Ayers continues to fight cancer.

Brooks Ayers announced his split from Gunvalson in a joint statement shared on her Facebook page on August 16. Below is what the former couple told fans.

“After much prayer, thought, counseling, and consideration, we have decided to end our four year relationship. We both wish nothing but a great future for each other. We have come to realize that one can indeed love someone in their heart, but that the time may come for their lives to take separate paths. Though the remaining episodes of Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County will show us as a couple, the filming took place in January 2015 through May 2015. There will be no further statements or interviews regarding our relationship as we choose to move on with our lives. Though we choose to live our lives in the public eye we thank you for your understanding and ask privacy during this difficult time.”

Brooks Ayers is currently living in Florida, but will return to the west coast soon for another round of cancer treatments.
