Azealia Banks Goes On Homophobic Rant Aboard Delta Airplane [Video]
An eyewitness told TMZ that their flight had just landed in LA from New York on Tuesday when Banks hurried toward the plane’s front door. A French couple, retrieving their luggage from the overhead compartment, was blocking her way, so the singer tried to squeeze past them.
The eyewitness adds that Azealia Banks got very angry when the man put his hand out. An irate Banks spit in his face and punched him as well, the source adds.
A male flight attendant responded to the situation by grabbing Azealia Banks’ bag and telling her to calm down. The 24-year-old rapper tried to pull away from the attendant’s grasp and demanded that she be allowed to leave.
In a video uploaded by TMZ, Azealia Banks hurled a homophobic slur at the Delta flight attendant, calling him a “f—–g f—-t.”
The TMZ source says the flight’s co-pilot approached Azealia and told her that they had called the police. Banks, upon hearing what the co-pilot had just said, ran off the plane.
Banks told the police that the French man hit her in the face. “I don’t tolerate b**********s and I don’t tolerate men putting their hands on me,” she said.
Azealia Banks’ allegations, however, were disputed by the eyewitness, insisting that the French man merely put his hand out.
Fans of the “212” singer were furious when they got wind of the incident. On Twitter, a user who goes by the handle Gay Menistry said Azealia Banks is talented but she should quit being so “G*****N homophobic.”

Another user, Rob Yancy, said that now thats he’s realized Azealia Banks refuses to get out of her own way, he will not defend her actions anymore. But instead of apologizing for her actions, Azealia Banks justified her use of homophobic and offensive language by tweeting, “I am bisexual. My brother is trans. My employees are all gay men…Nothing else to say.”

Twitter users responded with indignation. ‘That don’t give you the right to call someone a f***t tho,” said Jay.
Rudy Huxtable, @MJ_JustSayin, tweeted :”Azealia Banks will never make it. All because of her mouth. She’ll forever be stuck in the 212.”

Ajay, @khvdahafiz, called her out by tweeting, “@AZEALIABANKS that doesn’t give you free license to scream homophobic slurs at someone. You clearly mean f—-t as an insult every time.”
Meanwhile, the French couple will not be pressing charges against Banks because they didn’t want to go through the hassle on their holiday.
