There hasn’t been a jackpot winner in almost eight weeks. According to NBC Los Angeles, the last time someone won the top prize in the Powerball lottery game was August 1 when one lucky ticket holder in California won $110 million. If there is no winner on Wednesday night, the jackpot will continue to climb.

Wondering how much money you will take home if you beat the 175 million to 1 odds? If you choose a lump-sum payout, the check will be for a lot less than $235 million because the one-time payment is based on the cash value of the jackpot ($148.7 million). Jackpot winners who choose the annuity option will win the entire $235 million jackpot, but payments will be made annually.

According to USA Mega, if you are the only ticket holder to match all six numbers, you will get a check for approximately $111,525,000 after federal taxes are deducted from the prize amount. State taxes will also be deducted before the check is issued unless you live in a state that does not tax lottery winnings — California, Delaware, Florida, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, or Wyoming.

If you choose not to split the payments up over 30 years, you will receive annual payments of approximately $7,833,333 (before taxes) starting with the first payment that is issued shortly after the winning ticket is verified by Lottery officials. The official Powerball website reports that a cost of living increase of approximately 5 percent added into the 29 yearly checks after the initial payment is made.

Powerball tickets are currently sold in 44 States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $2 each, but lottery players can pay an extra $1 for the Powerplay option for a chance to multiply any non-jackpot prize by as much as five times. Non-jackpot prizes range in value from $4 for matching just the Powerball to $1 million for matching all five white balls but not the red Powerball.

What will you do with the whopping $235 million Powerball jackpot if you are lucky enough to win it all on Wednesday night?
