Bravo Star Brooks Ayers Slams ‘RHOC’ Co-Stars For ‘Manufactured’ Fake Cancer Story Line: ‘I’m Not Running From Anything’

Bravo star Brooks Ayers has been accused of faking his cancer diagnosis all season long on The Real Housewives of Orange County by nearly all of his co-stars. However, on September 22, the Bravo star put the rumors to rest during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, via Radar Online, during which he insisted his illness is real, and slammed his co-stars for using his health to create drama for the series.

“I think they do it to create drama. Manufactured drama and that’s sad to me,” the Bravo star explained of the ongoing “fake cancer” story line on the show.

The Bravo star continued to claim his co-stars have led to “useless drama that brings on stress that, quite frankly, no one needs and in particular, my situation.”

“I’ve distanced myself in a lot of ways from it … I’m not running from anything.”

Currently, the Bravo star is focused on moving forward from the show, and all the drama that comes with it, but he isn’t exactly “lying around in a hospice bed.” In fact, according to Ayers, his latest cancer statistics show “normalized” numbers after a round of IV therapy.

Also during Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, fans watched as the Bravo star and his former girlfriend, Vicki Gunvalson, endured the tragic and sudden loss of his mother. But despite their having been together through major events in each of their lives throughout the season, the Bravo star and his girlfriend split months later.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Bravo star Ayers and his former girlfriend, Gunvalson, announced they had parted ways on Facebook in August with a joint statement to their many fans and followers.

“After much prayer, thought, counseling, and consideration, we have decided to end our four year relationship. We both wish nothing but a great future for each other. We have come to realize that one can indeed love someone in their heart, but that the time may come for their lives to take separate paths. Though the remaining episodes of Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County will show us as a couple, the filming took place in January 2015 through May 2015.”

Following his split from Gunvalson, Bravo star Ayers moved to the east coast, where he currently resides in Florida.
