Ryan Reynolds Caught Best Friend Trying To Sell Photos Of Daughter, Was Forced To Ostracize Him

Ryan Reynolds has revealed that he caught a close friend of his trying to sell baby photos that he had sent to him.

The 38-year-old actor made this admission to GQ, admitting that when his daughter, James, was born last December, he immediately sent picture messages of her to a close circle of friends.

Reynolds, whose wife, Blake Lively, gave birth to James, was clearly still heartbroken about the betrayal, explaining that he had to part ways with the friend because of his actions.

“A guy that I’d known for my whole life, one of my closest friends growing up, he had been shopping pictures of my baby around,” Reynolds stated. “I kind of got in front of it, which is good. But it was a slightly dark period. A bad couple of weeks.”

In fact, Reynolds admitted that finding this out was one of the lowest moments of his life.

“It was like death,” Reynolds recalled. “It was like one of those devastating things to find out.”

Reynolds stated that he only sent the pictures to a few individuals he believed he was really close to.

“But it’s a pretty narrow group of people that I would send photos like that to,” Reynolds proclaimed. “They’re just, like, my closest family and my closest friends: ‘Here’s us in the delivery room!'”

Reynolds was able to quickly work out who had tried to sell the images to the press, as one particular friend had repeatedly contacted the actor and asked for cash, but Reynolds had decided to stop giving his old pal money.

“I mean, I don’t think he thought he would ever be caught,” Reynolds declared. “Well, I think he’d ask for a check enough times where I was like, ‘There’s no more checks to be had.'”

Lively herself called the entire debacle “shocking,” while Reynolds himself said that after he confronted his friend he soon informed him that they were no longer friends.

“There isn’t really a conversation to have,” Reynolds remarked. “It’s just, ‘Oh, well, now I’m never going to see you to talk to you again, unfortunately.’ That’s kind of how it works out.”

Ryan Reynolds was previously married to Scarlett Johansson between 2008 and 2011. Soon after their divorce, Reynolds began dating Blake Lively, with whom he starred in Green Lantern, before they then married in September 2012.
