Khloe Kardashian: Is Lamar Odom Preventing James Harden From Proposing To The ‘KUWTK’ Star?
The divorce between Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom may have been finalized earlier this year, but it seems as if Lamar still looms large in Khloe’s life — so large, in fact, that Lamar may be standing in the way of wedding bells for Khloe.
Since July, Khloe has been dating NBA star James Harden, and a report from Hollywood Life indicates that Harden, 26, would like to take his relationship with Khloe to the next level.
“James could see himself spending the rest of his life with Khloe and wants to propose to her. She’s loving, sweet, sexy, and intelligent… James has a lot of women throwing themselves at him and he’s passed them all up for Khloe.”
The problem? The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star still has the hots for her ex-husband, according to a separate Hollywood Life report.
“James is still not certain that Khloe’s over Lamar, and it drives him crazy! He found it odd that they both sat on their divorce for more than a year. It’s like they were giving each other more and more time to get back together. That scares James and is still on the back of his mind.
“James is also tired of seeing Lamar’s s*** at Khloe’s house and in her garage. Little remnants of him still linger in Khloe’s life and he feels that if she were totally over Lamar, she wouldn’t have things in her home to remind her of him.”
As it turns out, James Harden’s reported feelings might not be so far fetched. During a sneak peek of the 11th season of KUWTK, Khloe can be seen admitting that she still checks up on Lamar often.
In the episode, Khloe is seen complaining to Kim Kardashian that her Blackberry is broken. Once Kim realizes whose number Khloe is searching for, Kim questions her sister about why, exactly, she needs Odom’s number. Khloe responds passionately about the time she spent with Lamar.
“So I can check on him. I haven’t had my Blackberry all week since I’ve been here ’cause it’s broken. And I wanted to make sure he’s okay. Can’t I do that?”
In a video confessional, Khloe explains more in depth.
“Lamar and I loved each other deeply, and I don’t believe in just acting like that relationship never existed,” she says. “Things happened, but that doesn’t just stop me from caring about him or loving him.”
