‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Star Jamie Dornan Admits Feeling Uncomfortable During Sex Scenes With Dakota Johnson

Although Fifty Shades of Grey was highly successful in the box office, many thought the movie should have included additional sex scenes. After all, it is based on an erotic torture novel. With that in mind, Fifty Shades Darker is expected to ramp things up in the sex department, but is Jamie Dornan up to the challenge?

In an interview with Movie Pilot, Dornan expressed his doubts about adding even more sex scenes as the actor that played Christian Grey stated that he found some of the more intimate scenes uncomfortable.

“The Red Room stuff was uncomfortable. There were times when Dakota was not wearing much, and I had to do stuff to her that I’d never choose to do to a woman,” he explained in the interview.

At the same time, Dornan has been involved with some controversy with how his wife has allegedly felt about his involvement in the movie. With the film being an erotic drama that centers on BDSM culture, Dornan’s wife, Amelia Warner, was said to have become jealous over Dornan’s sex scenes with co-star Dakota Johnson. Johnson plays Grey’s lover in the series, Anastasia Steele, and their relationship will continue to be the focus as the series moves forward.

However, the rumored issues between Dornan and his wife are pure speculation at this point. Furthermore, Dornan has addressed the rumors in an indirect manner by saying he is very much in love with Warner. While this doesn’t really prove anything one way or the other, it does shed some doubts as to the veracity of the reports.

Meanwhile, Fifty Shades Darker has selected a new director following Sam Taylor-Johnson’s decision not to direct any more of the films in the franchise. With James Foley taking on the task of adapting the books to the big screen, there is a possibility that he will be willing to explore more sex in the two upcoming films.

Foley is well known for his work on the hit Netflix series, House of Cards. While Foley has pushed the envelope with his past projects, it isn’t known how he will approach the Fifty Shades franchise. That said, fans remain hopeful that more sex is included in the film.

Fifty Shades Darker, starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, is set to hit theaters on February 10, 2017. The movie will be followed by a February 2018 release of the third movie in the trilogy, Fifty Shades Freed.
