Dwayne Johnson Shares Key To Success, Focuses On Inspiration

Actor Dwayne Johnson shared a key to success with his fans and followers Friday.

The San Andreas star posted it within the caption of an Instagram photo of himself in the gym.

According to his statement, the longtime WWE star known as “The Rock” claimed that his decision to share was in response to questions received by millennials and children.

“Always asked by our generation’s millennials and kids what’s the key to success? One of the keys is to not be inspired by fame or material things. In today’s society that’s hard and I get it. Instead be inspired by hard work. Consistent daily hard work. Focus on being the hardest workers in the room and the lifestyle you want will follow. It may take years and years, but it’ll happen.”

In the hashtags used to conclude his message, Johnson mentioned “young leaders of our generation” in addition to the fact that there is “no substitute for hard work.”

Dwayne Johnson has always been willing to share his story, including his rise to success as a fan favorite in the wrestling ring as well as his progressive transition into an A-list Hollywood actor.

Quite a few times on Instagram, the 43-year-old actor has reflected on his past and how far he has come with his fans and followers — he even posts old, hilarious pictures of himself from high school.

In a June 2015 interview with Esquire magazine, for instance, Dwayne opened up about the meaning behind the name of his production company, Seven Bucks Production.

“In 1995, I called my old man when I landed in Miami [after getting cut from the Canadian Football League’s Calgary Stampeders] and I said, ‘Dad, you gotta come get me?’…. I thought, ‘(Expletive), how much money do I even have?’… I remember thinking…’All I have is seven bucks.’ At that time I wanted so much more… The success I wanted so badly and worked so hard for for years was happening all around me to everyone else but me. And I’ll never forget that. The term ‘seven bucks’ has a lot of meaning.”

During the same interview, Dwayne Johnson mentioned how much he used to envy former NFL star Warren Sapp after he signed a multi-million dollar deal after getting drafted, especially since Sapp beat Johnson out for his position on the field while playing for the University of Miami.

However, it seems as if the tables may have turned in that regard. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Dwayne Johnson has an estimated net worth of $160 million. With a number of highly anticipated films in the pipeline and a massive fan base that still follows his part-time wrestling career, chances are that many people respect Dwayne Johnson as somewhat of an expert when it comes to success.
