‘Suicide Squad’ Super-Villain Revealed — Could It Be A Member Of Their Own Squad?

Although many have speculated that The Joker (Jared Leto) will be the main villain in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie, new information indicates that might not be a safe assumption. According to Heroic Hollywood, the antagonist in the film may actually be a member of the villainous squad.

Leto’s Joker has received a lot of attention as the actor has managed to pull off a new look for the iconic villain. With all the hype, many thought The Joker would be the natural choice for the main villain in the film; however, it seems as though there is a chance the Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) might actually be the main bad woman in this one.

As a former supermodel, Delevingne’s version of the Enchantress could become the very first female antagonist featured in a DC Comics Universe film. This could be one motivation for producers to include her as the main villain.

At the same time, if Enchantress is the villain, then it would also help explain why she hasn’t been included in any of the group photos. Producers have leaked a number of group photos from the set, but Enchantress has been strangely absent from all of them.

As fans may recall, Enchantress first appeared in DC’s Strange Adventures back in 1966. During this anthology series, the character agreed to join the Suicide Squad as long as she cut back on her evil ways. Enchantress, who also goes by the name June Moone, later vanished for a number of years.

The leading theory speculates that the group of villains in the upcoming movie are charged with preventing Enchantress from bringing her brother back to life and taking over the world. This idea is somewhat backed up by the recent trailer, which shows Enchantress acting a little odd as she bathes herself next to a pentagram.

However, everything is pure speculation at this point as producers have yet to officially reveal who the main villain will be in the film. If Enchantress does turn out to be the villain, then it’s anyone’s guess what the mysterious character will be up to.

While fans wait for more news concerning the film, Suicide Squad is scheduled to be released August 5, 2016. This is only a few months after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to hit theaters, which might include a few spoilers about Suicide Squad.
