Check Out ‘American Horror Story’ And Hot Topic’s Chilling New Line
American Horror Story’s collaboration with Hot Topic is literally to die for. Even Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters will be happy to hear the news about this new fashion line.
Hot Topic teased their collaboration with American Horror Story on Instagram on Monday, September 14, by posting a photo of a woman wearing bloody gloves with the caption: “Once you check in…#tomorrow.”
AHS then confirmed the news on Tuesday with another Instagram photo announcing that the fashion collection would be available in select Hot Topic stores and on HotTopic.com.
It makes sense that the nation’s largest teen Gothic retailer would collaborate with one of the hottest and most haunting shows on television. The two decided to collaborate on a clothing line that’s inspired by the creepy and sexy FX series.
The new fashion line from Hot Topic has been inspired by each season of American Horror Story, including the upcoming Hotel season featuring Lady Gaga. For example, Season 1 (Murder House) features (what else) a maid dress. Meanwhile, Season 3 (Coven) features a black corseted witch’s coat with killer red satin lining.
Other pieces in the line include a Freak Show “Big Top” dress, an Asylum “Doctor Dress,” and a sexy Hotel Bellhop dress. Most of these dresses are chillingly perfect for both Halloween and the haunting season. There’s no doubt that these would be the perfect pieces to wear to an American Horror Story-themed party.

Four of the five pieces in Hot Topic’s American Horror Story collection are dresses, while the Coven one is a lone black coat. Unfortunately, fans can’t yet buy a pair of fake-splattered gloves just yet. Each piece in the collection ranges from $69.50 to $89.50, which is affordable, although fans may still have to save up if they want to buy more than one item.
Each item is available in sizes up to 3X, according to Daily Dot. Hot Topic released each of the themed AHS pieces on their website on Thursday, September 17. Pre-orders have also begun for the limited edition American Horror Story collection on the Hot Topic website.
Keep in mind, this is only a sneak peek at the collection. The full American Horror Story collection will be unveiled in select stores on September 28. The AHS collection will also expand to include T-Shirts, accessories, and gifts, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
This isn’t the first time that Hot Topic has collaborated with a major movie or TV series. The retailer has also released an Orphan Black and Penny Dreadful-inspired fashion line, along with a special clothing line for Marvel’s The Avengers.
Teasers and trailers have been released in anticipation for American Horror Story: Hotel. Some of the latest videos include interviews from Lady Gaga and the rest of the cast who talk about the haunting new season.
The new season of AHS stars Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Chloe Sevigny, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson, and Max Greenfield.
American Horror: Hotel checks in on Wednesday, October 7, on FX. No word if Hot Topic will continue their American Horror Story collection next year.
