Elizabeth Olsen Has A ‘Cold, Cold Heart’ For Tom Hiddleston

Actress Elizabeth Olsen and Hollywood heart-throb Tom Hiddleston are close friends, and rumors have been flying for months that Olsen and Hiddleston are more than just friends. There is certainly an on screen chemistry between 26-year-old Olsen and her I Saw The Light co-star, but Elizabeth has now flat-out denied that there is any romance involved.

Olsen and Hiddleston play Mr. and Mrs. Hank Williams in the biopic about the country singer but, to reference one of Williams most famous songs, it seems that Elizabeth has a “Cold, Cold Heart” when it comes to Tom. According to the Daily Mail, rumors about a possible romance began to circulate when Olsen and Hiddleston were spotted having dinner together in an exclusive London restaurant back in July.

Olsen used a recent interview with Refinery29 to emphatically deny that she has a romantic attachment to Tom. When asked about the romance rumors, Elizabeth firmly insisted that the pair were “friends” and refused to react to press rumors.

“I mean, we definitely are friends and we’ve known each other for about four years. And we happened to be at a restaurant at a wrong time having dinner. We all go out to dinner.

Well, apparently, I’m dating Chris Evans, and apparently, I’ve dated Jeremy Renner, so I guess that… I don’t react to it people can think what they want to think.”

In I Saw The Light, Olsen plays Audrey, Hanks Williams’ first wife. Olsen says she was drawn to the role by the power of the couple’s “love/hate” relationship with each other. She thinks that director Marc Abraham portrayed their “dysfunctional relationship in a very honest and forthright manner,” something Elizabeth says she was intrigued by.

“It wasn’t judgmental. That was something I found very interesting. I really love characters that people assume you’re supposed to not like and then defending them.”

Olsen says that it was a real challenge to play Audrey because “everything you read about this woman was pretty much unlikable,” but Olsen wanted to show her some understanding.

“All I wanted to do was show her compassion and empathy for being in such a tumultuous relationship with a man who was an artist first and foremost. You want to give these people respect. Because they existed and they are not here to defend themselves, you want to just give them as much respect as you can. “

Movie fans can see Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Hiddleston in I Saw The Light when it is released in the U.S. on November 27.
