Kanye West Turns New York Fashion Week Into ‘David & Goliath’: Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner Rock Style [Pics]

Kanye West is creating some problems at New York Fashion Week. And designer Anne Bowen is more than ready to detail just why she feels Kanye is unethical, following West’s late addition to the hallowed New York Fashion Week lineup, reported Us Weekly.

Kanye created havoc with the runway schedule because he delayed until the last minute. That meant that for others who had already planned their presentations on that day, West turned New York Fashion Week into a timing snafu.

For Anne, who had scheduled her Nomad VII by Anne Bowen streetwear line on Wednesday, September 16, at noon, it became a nail-biting situation. That time on the schedule was also owned by Naeem Khan, an Indian-American designer.

But Bowen is particularly irate because she and Kanye are aiming at the same group of buyers. West is showcasing his Adidas line at New York Fashion Week.

“We have been prepping for a year for this at considerable financial, labor- and commitment-cost to our company,” said Anne. “Our show date has been scheduled for months… And just yesterday we learned that Kanye West is having a show at the same time on the same date as ours.”

New York Fashion Week can now become compared to the tale of David and Goliath, contends the designer.

“Kanye knows he is a media sensation and it is just not ethical to do this. It’s like we are David and he is Goliath. We have put our heart and soul into our show, and should not be stepped on like this.”

To make it work, Anne says she rescheduled, and Bowen’s representative emphasized that it cost time and money to change the timing.

“We’re scrambling like crazy and it’s costing us a lot of money,” confirmed the publicist. “We sent out printed invites by hand, and they’re useless. We’re trying to contact everyone by e-mail.”

As for Kanye, he apparently has no worries about getting attention for his Kanye West X Adidas Originals Collection, reported CNN.

But Bowen is taking action against him with a complaint to the Council of Fashion Designers of America Fashion Calendar.

As for designer Naeem Khan, who has an evening wear line that will be presented at a parallel time with Kanye, he’s not stressing.

“I am confident that the fans of the brand and those in industry who truly appreciate the art of design and craftsmanship will come out to support us,” declared Khan. “I am thrilled with the new collection and we are looking forward to a great show.”

With regard to Anne’s complaint, Council of Fashion Designers of America president Steven Kolb said that the group had not known about Kanye’s show.

It isn’t just West who’s making waves at New York Fashion Week, however.

The Kardashians and Jenners were out in full fancy dress force, reported E! News.

Kendall Jenner took to the catwalk to do her model best, while her sister Kylie Jenner posed prettily in the front row. The Jenner sisters joined by Kourtney Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian rocked it out at a party afterwards.

And Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, made her stylish presence known, complete with that blossoming baby bump, by donning a leather mini-skirt, reported Life & Style.

To complete that look, Kim turned heads in the New York Fashion Week region by sporting black boots and a blouse with a chic, tattered look.
