WWE Rumor: Will Daniel Bryan Be Roman Reigns And Dean Ambrose’s Mystery Partner At ‘Night Of Champions’?

As expected, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose have found a partner for their six-man tag-team match against the Wyatt Family at Night of Champions this Sunday. However, they didn’t reveal the identity of that partner on RAW, which means that the mystery man won’t be revealed until Sunday night.

After RAW, both Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns did an interview backstage with JoJo, and the two of them joked about who their partner was going to be, saying that either The Great Khali or Savio Vega was going to be the third man at Night of Champions.

There has been a lot of speculation as to who the mystery man will end up being, and, according to the Wrestling Observer, Reigns and Ambrose’ partner may end up being Daniel Bryan, who was cleared for in-ring action by his personal doctor several months ago, and is waiting to be cleared by the WWE doctors.

“There’s different people [who can join Reigns and Ambrose at Night of Champions]. You could do Daniel Bryan. We only know what we know… But Daniel Bryan is ready, but it depends on whether [WWE] will clear him or not. And, given that it’s a concussion, right now, with that lawsuit going on, they’re not going to do anything that they don’t feel comfortable with doing. But, if Bryan is ready, it’s a way to bring him in to save this thing, and get a pop.”

Since Bryan’s latest concussion back in April, WWE has been hesitant to clear him. That’s partially due to the concussion lawsuit that was brought against WWE, but it’s also because of Bryan’s history with concussions. If Bryan’s most recent concussion had been the first he’d received in his career, it’s likely that WWE would have cleared him, and he would have returned to action months ago.

There are a few other guys who may end up joining Reigns and Ambrose at Night of Champions if Daniel Bryan doesn’t end up being cleared.

Cage Side Seats is reporting that Kane and Chris Jericho could return to action on Sunday. Of course, if Jericho ended up being the third man, it would likely be a one-shot deal. As for Kane, well, him coming back in this storyline doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but, for right now, it could be a way to bring him back, and re-establish him as the “Big Red Monster,” as it’s extremely likely that he’ll return with his mask.
