Pauly Shore Is Ready To Make ‘In The Army Now’ Sequel
Pauly Shore and Andy Dick have a cult following from their awesome 1994 flick ‘In The Army Now” and according to both actors they would be more than happy to make that same type of movie magic a second time around if any studio was willing to give them a chance.
Andy Dick and Pauly Shore talked about the possibility of “In The Army Again” during Wednesday’s taping of Andy’s radio show.
According to Dick:
“I’ve always said we should do ‘In the Army Again’ … We should rescue Katy Perry from a USO show gone bad or something.”
Shore later revealed to TMZ:
“Andy has wanted to do it for awhile … if they put up the money and the studio lets us do it … I’m down to make it happen!”
In fact Pauly Shore says a treatment for the movie has been floating around Hollywood for a while, although admittedly he has not read the treatment.
Getting a movie studio to finance the film might be the hardest part, while the original movie definitely has a cult following it managed to gross just $28 million at the box office and its Rotten Tomatoes rating remains at a worse possible 0% positive reviews.
I can honestly say that In The Army Now was one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life, then again I would head out on opening night to see In The Army Again, mostly because I’m a huge fan of watching comedy train wrecks unfold.
