‘Southern Charm’ Thomas Ravenel Attacked In Charleston Bar
Southern Charm cast member Thomas Ravenel was attacked recently in a Charleston bar by a rowdy patron. Though Season 3 has been confirmed by cast members, Ravenel has not committed publicly to participating.
According to the Inquisitr, Whitney Sudler-Smith, Shep Rose, Cameran Eubanks, and Sudler-Smith’s mother, Patricia Altschul, posted on Twitter that the “third time’s a charm.” Raven’s on-again, off-again girlfriend and mother of his daughter, Kathryn Calhoun Dennis, also posted on Twitter that she was about to share big news, but she has not posted since.
The Charleston City Paper broke the news that Thomas Ravenel was assaulted after a bar patron made derogatory remarks about him. An officer was flagged down in the vicinity of Republic Garden and Lounge, and the police sought and located a man who matched the description of Ravenel’s attacker. After being identified by Ravenel, the attacker said “he deserved it.” Ravenel dropped the charges after allowing the man to spend the night in jail, hoping to avoid press.
“I can’t press charges. I can’t do anything. I just have to get my face disfigured,” says Ravenel. “I can’t defend myself because of the show and who I am.”
“I can’t defend myself or they would put me under the prison,” he says.
FITS News reported that the Southern Charm star was assaulted in downtown Charleston. The unidentified man was being verbally abusive, and as he was being tossed from the bar, he was able to head butt Ravenel in the face, causing his eye to swell virtually shut. When the man was apprehended and brought back to the bar, Ravenel identified him.
“That’s the guy who hit me,” he told police.

This has been a summer of scuffles for Ravenel, according to the Inquisitr. Last month, Ravenel allegedly got into it with the boyfriend of a woman outside of a Florida hotel, which was caught on tape. He also served Federal time for a cocaine conviction before joining the Bravo cast of the reality show, Southern Charm.
