Kit Harington Just Let A Major ‘Game Of Thrones’ Spoiler Slip

Kit Harington has let a major spoiler for Game of Thrones season 6 slip. It was so major that it really tells many whether his character Jon Snow is alive or dead. This is the one thing that most fans want to know since the shocking cliffhanger in the season five finale.

It looks like Harington will be back in Game of Thrones, which means his character is not dead. Many fans had already jumped to that conclusion last week, after he was spotted filming one of the battle scenes expected towards the end of season six. According to a Dutch speak, Harington told Humo, a Dutch magazine, that he knows just how long he is under contract for, and that Game of Thrones is going to be a part of his life “for a while.”

That suggests that he will be back for season six at least, and potentially more. There are already suggestions that the show will continue with an eighth season, despite previous speculation that there would only be seven to match the seven books George R.R. Martin has planned for the A Song of Ice and Fire series.

During the interview, Harington said that he would “probably be in my thirties when it’s over.” The actor is currently 28, according to The Independent, which suggests that he will be around until the end. This will be good news for Jon Snow fans.

The question is now how Jon Snow will return. The producers have said he is deader than dead, and right now he may be. Having Melisandre back at The Wall brings in the potential of raising him from the dead, without him becoming a White Walker. Last season she certainly showed some interest in him.

While Game of Thrones fans may be happy, the actor himself seems a little mixed. He mentioned how it meant turning down great roles because of his filming commitments for Thrones. During the interview, he did mention how he would throw himself into movies as soon as he is finished with the HBO production.

While Jon seems to be back, it looks like Brienne will also return for season six, according to The Watchers on the Wall. Gwendoline Christie also took part in the Humo interview, and shared why she loved the books so much. After praising the fact that there are so many strong, leading, diverse female characters, she then explained that she has spent three days fighting on screen. Many suspect a fight between the Northern Lords will take place in season six, and with Brienne already at Winterfell, it makes sense for her to join in with the Game of Thrones scenes.
