NeNe Leakes Wants To Join Kyle Richards And Lisa Vanderpump On ‘RHOBH,’ Talks ‘RHOA’ Season 8
After watching Nene Leakes joking with the guys on BET’s Real Husbands of Hollywood, will her fans next see her battling it out with Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? On Friday, NeNe, who starred on seven seasons of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and is currently in New York City for Fashion Week, wrote on her blog that she did an interview with Extra TV’s AJ Calloway to drop some tea.
On an Instagram post, AJ praised NeNe for how much she has accomplished. NeNe will be on the September 15 episode of Real Husbands of Hollywood, a comedic parody that pokes fun of Real Housewives, and recently served as a guest star on Fashion Police.

While NeNe dropped some tea to AJ on Friday, it may be the tea that she dropped the day earlier, while speaking to Access Hollywood, that many of her fans may find more interesting. During that interview, NeNe said that she would be interested in joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. When asked if she would be willing be on a different show within the Real Housewives franchise, such as Beverly Hills, NeNe said she would love to do it.
“Ah! Me being in a different division? Yeah. Oh, I would love to join the Beverly hills housewives. The only brown girl there. They could use a little color… I would love to join The Beverly Hills Housewives to fight those girls a little bit. They need a brown girl. I promise. I’d love to do it.”
NeNe Leakes being on the Beverly Hills show wouldn’t be so far-fetched since she already knows some of the show’s cast members. She and Kyle Richards have been friends for years. In 2012, Kyle told BravoTV.com that she and NeNe try to meet up whenever they’re in the same city. Nene, along with Lisa Vanderpump, attended the opening party of Kyle’s clothing boutique, Kyle by Alene Too, in 2012. The three happily posed for photos together.
On a past season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, viewers watched NeNe live in the Los Angeles area temporarily as her acting career took off.
As for why she decided to leave The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe admitted that she got tired of the drama.
“Well, you know, I was the only original there, and it was the end of my contract and bravo knew that and I knew that. I was offered season eight, to come back, and it was my decision. I just wanted to do other things. Also, I felt like being on the show all of this time, I felt like I was being attacked a lot. I felt like it was very negative at times. And it was just time for me to sort of step back and just try other things…I just need a break, and this was my time to take a break and go do other things. I may go back sometime.”
While NeNe Leakes is no longer on the show, she apparently still knows what’s going on with the next season. When asked about the reports that transgender model Amiyah Scott has joined the show’s cast for Season 8, NeNe said that that’s not true. NeNe also suggested that the reports of Kim Fields joining the cast aren’t true either.
“All lies. All lies. All lies. Miya Scott will not be a Housewife I bet you that. Just a way to get everybody to tune in. Guarantee you that. None of these people you’ve been hearing about will be Housewives.”
