Arnold Schwarzenegger Hired To Replace Trump As ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ Host
Arnold Schwarzenegger has officially been hired to replace Donald Trump on the next season of The Celebrity Apprentice. TV Line shared the news today that Schwarzenegger was picked up as the next person for the show. It will be interesting to see someone else doing the part since everyone is used to Trump having on the show. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be on the show when it returns for the 2016-2017 season. NBC is usually finished filming the show by now, but with the loss of Trump, they haven’t started yet.
Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment, gave a statement about Arnold joining the show. This is a new chapter for the show, and they are happy about it. They spent a few months to find the perfect person, but NBC finally has their host.
“Arnold Schwarzenegger is the epitome of a global brand in entertainment and business, and his accomplishments in the political arena speak for themselves. It was Arnold’s personal passion for the format that Mark Burnett and Donald Trump built over the last decade, as well as his fresh take on how to take it to new heights for today’s audiences, that made him the man to hire. ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’… will be back!”
The New York Times shared that NBC decided to cut ties with Donald Trump earlier this year. This was after he made comments that suggested all Mexican immigrants were rapists and murderers. Arnold Schwarzenegger will officially take over his spot on the show, but The Celebrity Apprentice will have to miss one season because of it. NBC had shared that they wanted to find someone with a big personality. It looks like they found that person with Arnold Schwarzenegger as the new host of the show.
At this time, they have not shared who else will be sitting in the boardroom with Schwarzenegger. Viewers are used to seeing Trump’s kids in there, but you can assume that with him leaving the show, they will be gone too. They will need to bring in someone who will do great with Arnold in the boardroom. Normally, they also have a few guests, which you can assume will stay the same for the future season.
