Demi Lovato Bisexual? ‘I’m Definitely Not Denying’ It

Did Demi Lovato just confirm her past includes bisexual experiences without saying as much? Or did the “Cool For The Summer” singer just announce she’s previously had same-sex partners?

Those are questions arising after an interview Lovato conducted on the subject this week.

In an interview with British comedian Alan Carr on Chatty Man, Demi discussed her bisexual lyrics with the host, The Mirror reported. When asked if the song was about lesbians, Lovato gave a non-answer that left little doubt about Demi having past relations with women.

“I’m not confirming, and I’m definitely not denying. All my songs are based off of personal experiences. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with experimentation at all.”

Carr responded that he experienced it once “and it stuck.” Demi retorted that she wasn’t suggesting all of her relationships were heterosexual, either. “Hey, I didn’t say it didn’t stick, either,” Lovato said to a loud crowd reaction.

Hints about this announcement were found in the popular song. In “Cool For The Summer,” Demi sings “Tell me what you want, what you like / It’s okay, I’m a little curious, too… Got my mind on your body and your body on my mind / Got a taste for the cherry, I just need to take a bite.” The lyrics have sparked a summer-long rumor that Lovato was using “Cool For The Summer” as a coming-out song, not only for her upcoming album Confidence, but also about herself.

If Lovato has had a previous same-sex affair, she seems to have put that in her past. In a Yahoo! Beauty interview Demi recently conducted, the “Cool For The Summer” singer gushed about her relationship with Wilmer Valderrama of That 70’s Show fame.

“I’ve never been more in love. I’m so excited to have him in my life as my best friend and my boyfriend.”

The couple often post pictures of themselves on the “Cool For The Summer” singer’s Instagram account and other social mediums as Demi uses it to share her life with her 22.6 million followers.

Demi opened up during a Huffington Post interview that the couple is more open to sharing their relationship online because Lovato and her lover can control what’s seen.

“As time has gone on, people are seeing us more together and we thought, you know what? If paparazzi gets us, then whatever, but we’re in control about what we’re able to post online. So we’re very open about our relationship. I don’t know—I think as I get older and more serious in my life, I just am proud. I’m very proud.”
