Kim Kardashian Poses For Selfie With Unlikely Friend

Kim Kardashian posed for a selfie with a surprising guest during New York Fashion Week on Friday, hanging with Courtney Love at a star-studded event.

The duo leaned in for a somewhat blurry pic, which Kim later posted on Instagram with a heart emoji for a caption. The Givenchy event attracted a large crowd and featured Kim’s sister, Kendall, on the catwalk.

“Kendall really worked the runway and looked amazing. Kim and Kanye were smiling and chatting with each other and they both looked very proud of her,” a source told Us Weekly.

Kim and her family have a long list of celebrity friends, but it was somewhat surprising to see her hanging with Love, as they seem to be from completely different worlds. The Hole frontwoman has been enjoying an acting comeback lately with roles on Sons Of Anarchy and Empire, and has been more visible in Hollywood circles.

Kim, meanwhile, has been flaunting a new style during her second pregnancy, showing up on a shopping spree in New York recently, rocking a Metallica t-shirt. The look was a far cry from Kim’s usual fashion choices, earning her quite a bit of media attention.

Kardashian made headlines this week for a very different reason when Jean-Paul Goude, the photographer who shot the infamous “break the internet” pictures of Kim for Paper Magazine, teamed up with Harper’s Bazaar to photograph celebrities as famous figures from throughout history.

Despite a penchant for shooting controversial subjects in even more controversial settings, Goude says he doesn’t particularly seek out provocation with his work.

“Believe it or not, I don’t like to provoke. If I ever have it was unconsciously. Though, political incorrectness can be fun,” Goude told the New York Post.

Kim’s Paper cover may not have broken the internet, but it did set off a firestorm of backlash and led to a multitude of spoofs, including a famous one of Ursula, the sea witch from The Little Mermaid. Kim, who got nude and oiled up for the shoot, has famously been unafraid to show off her body, even during pregnancy, and her husband, Kanye West, reportedly enjoys their sex life much more when she’s expecting.

“Kanye wishes Kim could be pregnant all year long … They have the most adventurous and crazy sex when she’s pregnant,” a source told Hollywood Life.
