Alanis Morissette will Guest Star as an Obstetrician on Weeds

Alanis Morissette has signed up to play an obstetrician who’s star patient will be the pregnant, marajuana-growing widow played by Mary-Louise Parker in the Showtime’s comedy, Weeds.

Alanis Morissette, the 34 year old singer of Jagged Little Pill has also guest starred on other shows. Her acting career has included appearances in Sex and the City, Degrassi: The Next Generation, and Nip/Tuck.

Season 5 of Weeds, guest starring Alanis Morissette as an obstetrician, will premiere on Monday, June 8th, 2009 at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime.
