Hot on the heels of the competition where you can win a date with The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira has another completion with Walking Dead perks. As fans know, Danai plays Michonne in The Walking Dead.
The charity Danai has chosen to support is the Almasi Arts Alliance, an organization that she helped co-found. According to their mission statement, the Almasi Arts Alliance is a “non profit organization that strives to create and facilitate artistic collaborations between African artists and American artists and artistic institutions”.
As a way to raise much-needed funds for the Almasi Arts Alliance, Danai is running a very special Walking Dead competition. By donating just $10 through her Crowd Rise page, fans go into the draw to win the following:
“You and a friend will be flown to the season 6 premiere of The Walking Dead at Madison Square Garden in New York City, stay in a 4 star hotel and be Danai’s guest for the premiere. You’ll also get an additional trip for 2 to Atlanta to tour some of the famous sites that the show has shot at in previous seasons, get a weapons training session to learn how to shoot things just like the cast and have lunch with Danai. Plus you’ll be given a a “Go Bag” full of disaster survival gear, get made up like a zombie and take tons of photos!”
Added to this prize will be the chance to have an iChat with Danai Gurira and another cast member from The Walking Dead. In the video below, she even suggests it could be Steven Yeun. As well as explaining about Danai’s chosen charity, the video gives viewers the chance to get a very special sneak peek into fellow cast member Steven Yeun’s (who plays Glenn Rhee in The Walking Dead) bachelor pad.
While $10 is the minimum required to enter to win this Walking Dead experience with Danai Gurira, every donation over the amount comes with bonus Walking Dead rewards. For example, if you were to donate $50, Danai would send you a thank you video. $100 will get you a signed photo of Danai, and $500 will get you the autographed picture plus a shout out on Twitter. All bonus Walking Dead prizes can be viewed here.
Please be aware that this competition is only open to people aged 18 and over who are residents of the U.S. The Walking Dead competition being run by Danai Gurira begins on September 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) and ends on September 22, 2015 at 11:59 a.m. ET.
